Your Favorite Knives Under 20$

Got to thinkin' about this thread, and might have a new one to add to the list-

Helle Tollekniv- especially the new ones. Perform alot of the same work as the Moras, but have really nice fit and finish, a very comfortable handle, and a decent sheath. Dunno how many more of the wood handled Moras I'm gonna be wantin' since I've gotten these. Sandvik12c27 blade with a classic Scandinavian grind, takes a razor sharp edge, and holds it real well. In all honesty it's hard to tell the difference between this and 1095 as far as edge holding goes. Average price is about $30, but if you do just a little bit of looking around, you can get 'em for a hair less than $20.

A folder that might be worth considering may be the EKA's. They have a few under $20 I've heard alot of good things about, although I haven't tried one personally-yet.

I think this is a great thread. darn near oughta get stickied to show how many good options there are to buying cloned China crap.:D

Looks like a CRKT take on the Sebenza (Appears to have LAWKS-like mechanism)

On the Okapi's is it normal for the blade to hit the brass pin in the handle? My blade has a neat little chip in the middle due to this. I'd imagine after some sharpening the blade will thin out enough to dodge it. The knife itself has as much closing snap as anything I've handled.

Nice photos Darklight. We have very similar taste in knives.

Just caught this - heheheh. Thanks! It also appears that we both skateboard, too. :)

Speaking of Scandanavian knives, that Hackman-like black butterfly pukko knife looks really interesting for under $20.

Hey Guys....

Some of my favorite knives under $20 are Moras..
SWAK, Clipper, 711, 510

As well as the CRKT Plan B...

So, what's the deal with the Superknife? They've gotten pretty mixed reviews around here, and there are several different versions, not to mention similar different brands. I'd like to find one that either won't fall apart and/or isn't a half assed design.

I picked up this Savage along the way for about $10. Blade length right about 2.5" and frame lock. I liked the design of the handle, which is why I bought it. It feels solid in my grip. It had wood scales when I bought it, but I removed those and added my own touch for grip (skateboard tape).
