My EDC is my Buck 303T. (Poly-Pearl handle) I'm in love!

Reasons why it is my favorite Slipjoint:
I. The blades are very easy to sharpen and hold a decent edge.
II. All the blades have there own backspring, so all the blades are straight.
III. The size is perfect and it fits my hand well.
IV. Looks classy
V. Excellent fit and finish for $20
VI. Blades are smooth to open, but hold sufficiently while open

Here is a pic. Picture of Buck Cadet (NON Poly-Pearl)

So what is your favorite slipjoint and what are your reasons for liking it so much? Please include pics or a link to a picture if able.
-Kevin :)

Queen D2 Canoe. Part of my EDC kit.
Slim with rounded ends, makes it very pocket friendly.
The thick backspring, one spring for both blades, make the blades snap with authority.
I use the small blade for packages, string...dirty stuff and the large blade for food (mainly). You can sure spread some mayo with that wide drop point :)
This particular knife was gritty when I got it. Lots of use has it broken in quite nicely.
The D2 was work to get real sharp, but now it stays that way with very little maintenence. Just the strop or the steel so far.

My favorite factory slipjoints are Case 6333 and 6327 made 1970 or before my EDC is an XX 6333.

I like these little slipjoints because they are slim, small, have strong snap, a pinned shield, gorgeous bone, and nickel silver liners, and take and hold an edge reasonably well. The currently made ones don't compare. MY EDC 6333 is older than me and though it has some patina is still tight and snappy... My favorite Custom slipjoints are made by Ray Cover.

My vote goes to the Victorinox SAKs -

every one I've known has walked 'n' talked -
they are amazingly well built and consistent for a mass produced item - almost to the point of "boring" - the SAK is synonymous with "quality" throughout the world.

Personal favorite is my customized Scientist - EDC for over 11 years now -

Oh boy a chance to show off some work from some friends.
This Sheffield type is by Bailey Bradshaw.

Below a better picture of his picque work on the handles.

Here is a sowbelly (attached at bottom in gold lip) and a whittler by Richard Rogers. He, Bailey and Joel have become friends. So any knife of their's is pretty special to me.

Some Doctor knives by Bailey (gold lip), Joel (smooth white pearl), Eugene Shadley (black lip), Richard (carved pearl) and Bill Ruple (Bone).

Two more that I do not have pics of (one by Ron Newton and another by Joe Kios are also some of my favorites, but so are a bunch of old and new factory multi-blades. It is just too hard to pick one favorite.:(

A couple of xx Era (1940 to 65) Case knives.

Here is a Ruple that has been showing up the the mags over the last couple of months along with Richard's sowbelly and a few others.

Bastid and 92Degrees,
Do you EDC any of em? And how am I supposed to come up with the cash for toys like that!!??

Unknown: that SAK is stunning.

I only have one custom that I actually carry a whittler by Tony Huffman (attached).

Those two XX era Cases cost a total of about 12 bucks at a garage sale a few summers ago. I feel some of the D2 Queens make good carries, but keep in mind you will end up reprofiling the edges. I also have some older, (well over 60 year old) used carbon steel multiblades that have been picked up through the years for a song that have made great edc's.

Reese Bose does some awesome work. That coffin jack is flat out heart stopping for a multi-blade fan.

Here is a pic of one of his Dr. patterns.

Nice! :) What year are they?

The 6333 is a 10 dot 1970, the 6327 is a U.S.A. made between 1965-69.

I buy everyone I get the chance, and carry older ones in less than perfect condition.

I recently found a 15-20 year old Craftsman with bone handles in MINT condition at a gun show, it was made in Japan but has quickly become my favorite slipjoint.

The Victorinox Settler. Large and small spear point blades that handle most anything I encounter in a normal day.

Lone Wolf Loveless "City Knife". Just got it....very impressed. An excellent design that is very well built. This one is going into the rotation.

JT asked me to post this for him. I'm sure he'll post comments.
