I have hesitated to jump in here, because I have such little experience with the stockman. Except for one Böker Tree Brand 8113 I carried in my tool belt back when I was building boat docks in the late 1980s, I have always preferred two blade jacks. It was not until I came here, and got bit by the stockman bug when it was the traditional of the month a little over a year ago that I began to carry and use one regularly. I have picked up a handful of stockman knives since, and now find the sheepsfoot to be one of my favorite and most useful blade shapes.
This little Craftsman by Schrade was my first, and it is still carried when I need something light and small, with various blade options.
A little larger, but still compact, is this Case 6344. It is a beater knife for sure, but those thin sharp blades can handle just about any cutting task.
Seeing how much I loved my 6232 jack, someone recommended I try the 6332 stockman. I found one, and it has quickly become a favorite.
I picked up a Schrade 834, and I like this one for its jigged delrin, but primarily for the large sheepsfoot (shown here below its 832 sibling).
But without question, my favorite stockman is this Schrade 832. Love the wood handles, and it just feels right in my hand.
