Really no rhyme or reason for my collection!!! Although green canvas micarta does seem to rule my brain.

The real fun comes when you decide to layout your collection and discover that you have been collecting something that you were not even aware of. You have been collecting brand x or maker Y, or steel type z; and you lay out the collection to see that you have a pile of similar looking Bowie knives?

I’ve got a serrated Spyderco Harpy that I bought about 15 years ago because it looked cool. I’ve never used it, but I hear Hannibal Lecter is a fan . Truth be told, I may have bought it for that reason.

Love your Kraton-handled original one! Ooh, and that plain-edge Matriarch is nice, too! Some people think these look silly, but I love them and think they can be workhorses, too! I really want a Dodo, and I cannot wait for the Civvie 2, I hope they wave the sucker and put it on a comp-lock, lack of wave is the one thing preventing me from carrying the Civvie like I do the Matriarch (that, and my model is an ATS-55 like yours, kind of "antique", hah). I see that mine is a slightly earlier version, though, because my backlock has no Boye dent. Do you have liners in your Civvie or no?

I put a wave on my Lil Matriarch, about to put a signet ring on it! I want a plain-edge Cricket, too. I have been looking at a fancy $800 Civvie with mother of pearl inlays and dual serrations (filework) on the back, that is my dream Civvie, that or the dual-bladed one. You know, as an actual specialized defensive tool, though, I wonder how a knife like the Lil Matriarch specifically, would carry, if you sharpened the other side of the blade, just to where the hollow grind ends, like a traditional karambit. It'd not be something you want in your pockets all the time! Just as an exercise, though.

Also, loving the Janich-cliffe. Only have a Yojumbo and a Yurco-modded Endura, but I love how the Endura kind of "evolves" to the left and right side in this picture.

Unsure if this is a motif, but I like large carries, these knives are all 3.5inches minimum, the RAT1 being the smallest there. I should have included my Higonokami in the picture.

Indeed! I keep looking but prices for knives are going crazy these days, so I can usually keep my $ in my pocket.

For example, I was just outbid for a Spyderco M4 Mule that I wanted. It went for $213.50 plus sales tax (if any) and $4.80 shipping. And I was also watching a ZT 0777 (that I wanted but didn't bid on) that went for $1,226.50 plus sales tax (if any). Ouch!!!

Anyway, this is why finding knives that I want (for the "right" price) is a never ending process.

I know. I have a problem.
The 0452cf was my first ZT, and my first good knife over about $40. I ordered a 0450cf on Amazon but they sent me the 0452cf by mistake. So glad they did!

What's the custom Espada? The one with the engraving on the aluminum? That's what I want to do with mine!

I went through a "try to buy all the colors phase". I tried doing that with the Rat 1 D2, Delicas, and Enduras and realized I don't have enough disposable income for that in addition to the firearm/ammo want to buy list. So I stopped.
