Your Favorite Tough Folder

Wow I was waiting if I was gonna see Grayman listed on here at all!? Last post! GRAYMAN Knives!! Some of the knives listed on these posts are pretty durable folders but I would say nothing compares in tank like toughness than Graymans knives! The Dua and the Satu are my favorite tough folders! ZT, Strider, Hinderer, Gayle, all knives I own. But my Graymans stand out when it comes to my fav tough folders! Honorable mention- Three Sisters Forge Beast. Havent used it enough yet to give an honest opinion but it seems pretty tough and def very well made!! Happy Holidays!!

I own many folders but none of those folders are Tough like the Extrema Ratio Rao.

I don't own many knives that people would consider "tough" these days, in the face of all these Hinderers and ZTs and whatnot, but my CUDA Maxx 5.5 (bowie) is probably my most tank-like. I don't carry it often and it's never seen hard use, but it seems pretty stout and I love the way it looks, feels, and carries, so I guess that's my favorite toughie.

Buck 110, if I was evacuating my home into the unknown and could only take 1 folder and 1 fixed itd be my 110 and my esee-5. I think the 110 is folder perfection. Nothing fancy just a big, tough folding knife.

If I need strength I grab my Leatherman Wave. Everyone here chases the big overly thick folders for "hard use" when a multitool will out "hard use" any one of them. I guess multitools just aren't as sexy as 500 dollar customs.

Well the topic is folders , not just any random tool that might be tough. That said I'm right there with you as my Kick see's several times daily use , as much as my folder du jour anyway. Both are indispensable tools for me in my daily life.
I will also add that sometimes a a big tough folder is not always the best choice for a task , there are many times I am glad that I carried my diminutive Toothpick or other much smaller folder for those delicate cutting or slicing chores that a lot of the more hard core folders are not as good at.

Here are my three hardest used folders. These folders have been used for just about any work related knife-job you can think of.

My SnG or CQC 7 - A or B, mini CQC 7B and the Buck CSAR-T. IMO, my CS Lawman, Para 1, and Buck Vantage Pro are pretty tough. They also work well with the projects around the house.

6 months in and I am still in the honeymoon phase with my CRK Umnumzaan polished tanto, I feel it is as tough as my SnG and the many ZT' s I have. Nothing has kicked it out of my pocket even for 1 day...

Camillus did a great job on these knives! Plenty tough.

No-Brainer (for me) Zombies are at the gate and you have minutes to get out the back:
Hk Mp5 k
Mags and ammo
Ka-bar machete
Surefire
Hinderer XM 18 Spanto-Flipper
