THE COMMENT I MADE ABOUT USING ONE OF YOUR KNIVES WAS TO SCOTT GOSSMAN(RAZORBACK KNIVES)-AS I AM TAKING THIS KNIFE ON THE HUNT SATURDAY

AS WELL AS A SIEGLE KNIFE I HAD HIM MAKE JUST FOR THE HUNT.

AS FAR AS USING YOUR SIEGLE--

HELL BRO-LETS GET TOGETHER THIS SUMMER (IF YOUR IN TEXAS) AND KILL A FEW TOGETHER

CAPS LOK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR AWESOME!

Seriously man, was all CAPS necessary?

Groovy - CAPS is Dr. Bill's signature font - stick around for a few days and you'll notice that - he's got great knives and good stuff to say, so I don't mind being able to PICK HIS STUFF OUT when scrolling through a thread...

Scott, do you have any pics of that loop (tied around the choil of the knives) in use? I'm a little confused on how they'd attach to the hand.

Below is a picture of the loop I use. I first heard of it attributed to Col. Applegate. It allows total wrist flexing/rotation. The loop over the thumb keeps the hand from sliding forward onto the blade. The two cords wrapped across the rear edge of the hand (and then through the lanyard hole) anchor the hand when chopping and keep the knife from becoming a flyer. I think using a flat cord instead of round paracord would make it more comfortable by spreading the pressure over more square inches of hand.

To answer the question posed by OP, my two knives would be by default the Blade-Tech Wegner Pro Hunter because that is what is constantly in my pocket and either a Busse Basic 9 or a Busse Battle Mistress -E.

Sorry, I apologize, I thought it was just him being annoying or something. My bad.

How do you like your Wegner? I recently purchased a pro-hunter lite and really, really like it. I am thinking about upgrading to the pro-hunter in the future.

RokJok, here's a couple of pics using the forward lanyard. It goes over the top of your hand under your little finger and under your thumb. The forward force of chopping makes it tighten up on the hand. It's best to wear a glove.

Inspired by this thread, I decided to get my 2 knives for the woods ready to go for this weekend - here's the Dogfather and RAT5 piggybacked:

Its not horrible - no problem w/ the pants falling down or anything! I need to get a good leg strap though.

ALL CAPS = BELLIGERENT KNOW-IT-ALL

That's just my impression, not a personal attack on anyone...

These are what I was camping with last year.....I think I will be changing some things around this time..

I really like that set up, but agree that it seems heavy...do you carry it on your leg or on your pack?

Howling Rat, one of my faves. Need to find some kydex for mine. Normark, still got any for the Howlers? :D

----------------
A belligerent is an individual, group, country or other entity which acts in an aggressive or hostile manner, such as engaging in combat.

In times of war, belligerent countries can be contrasted with neutral countries and non-belligerents. However, the application of the laws of war to neutral countries and the responsibilities of belligerents are not affected by any distinction between neutral countries, neutral powers or non-belligerents. A non-belligerent may nevertheless risk being considered a belligerent if it aids or supports a belligerent in a way proscribed by neutral countries.

GIBSONFAN,

WHEN WAS I "EVER" ACTING AGGRESSIVE OR HOSTILE TO ANYONE ON THIS FORUM?????????

IF YOUR GOING TO INSULT SOMEONE BY CALLING HIM NAMES--AT LEAST MAKE SURE TO USE THE CORRECT INSULT.

AND IF MY USING "ALL CAPS" BOTHERS YOU--DON'T READ WHAT I POST.
