Hi,
no posted very much here.
However, now that I am retired and still keen on USA made knives, here is a pic of my favourite large stockmen:

Buck wrangler

Queen

Mooremaker burnt bone

They are all three very nice Casares - but which one is your favorite?

My favorite large Stockman is the Buck 307 - a frequent companion on hunting trips. OH

I think my favorite large stockman is the Buck 301 and 371.
At least I have one or the other in my pocket everyday.

EDIT: If the 301/371 don't count as a "large" stockman then I'll have to go with my RR 915 Stoneworx stockman. I don't carry it very often, because I am afraid of damaging the handle inlays.

Casares, I too am a big fan of Moore Maker's burnt bone. This is the jumbo #5304 from 2002, with my preferred round bolsters.

The stockman is my favorite pattern. I have quite a few. This shot shows most of them.

There is one which stands out as my favorite. I consider it the quintessential stockman, even with its garish covers. It's a Camillus made Remington 4" with the most gorgeous clip blade I've ever seen.

Casares I particularly like the ACSB Queen Stockman you have, good jigging and colour on it. You might like to get hold of one other Stockman in Zebra Wood, it's very pretty stuff.

Here's mine. GEC Northfield 82 Dixie. I like the blade assortment and the low profile of the blades when closed. Comfortable in the hand and quite svelte for a large knife.

I only have one large stockman. This Case in Amber burnt bone in. CV. I'm not really a bone fan, but I do like this one very much. So since I only have this one, it's my favorite.
Really looking into the Buck 307. I'm on a black handles kick these days.

Not sure how long a stockman must be to be considered large, but I think I only have one that qualifies, so I guess it's my "favorite" (even though I much prefer a stockman under 4 inches closed length). Mine is a Taylor-Schrade 61OT "Premium Stock Knife" that I bought in a gift tin recently; I haven't even carried it yet.

Like black mamba, I prefer round bolsters, and I also like the slender clip blade on this one.

Lots of more than decent knives in this thread!:thumbup:
(afishhunter, I was looking at Bucks at a vendor site yesterday, and dimensions given there indicated that the 371 is actually a bit bigger than the 301; I found that surprising! Is that true of your 301 and 371?)

Got a few really nice old stockmans. The Large case that I dyed red a while back is one of my faves but this RAT and the Queen walnut railsplitter(a form of stockman?) are both great.
The RAT just pips the large case out by being a bit bigger.
cheers.

So far I just have one - but found this for sale from a collector and couldn't resist the unique handle materials - rams horn on a large cigar frame!

Garish? I guess my tastes must be garish because I think that it is a very nice knife and would be proud to own it. :)

Nice and sleek! Looks like it would melt into your hand.

Here is an extra large Stockman I forgot I have; the Schrade 858 Lumberjack - it's huge. I don't carry it because it is too big - this is a belt sheath type knife. Here it is shown with a 3-7/8" Schrade 8OT for comparision. OH

I really enjoy the 4" stockman pattern. I only have these 2 at the moment, but the one that sees most carry is the Old Timer. I like the craftsman a lot as well, even though normally am not a fan of cream/yellow delrin handles, it doesn't seem to bother me as much on this one.
