your favourite large stockman? show and tell

An older Case 6375. It has a very strange handle color. In some lighting, it looks gray, other times it looks brownish and other times, it has a hint of green bone.

Some real beauties here. I really like seeing the ram's horn handles! Stockman is far and away my favorite pattern, but I lean towards the medium stockmans.

Snipe, you have a real classic there - it exudes an aura of good times past. OH

I've always found the "antique green bone" to be anything but green, unless the light hits it just right. Yours is definitely an interesting example, I see mottling near the hinge of the spey blade that looks like it could be almost appaloosa-style, and the overall texture looks amazing on that old Case.

The 6375 is rapidly becoming my favorite line in Case's stable, especially in carbon. It puts the man in "stockman". :p :D

If only my old buddy KBA-Brett was still hanging on the porch.....You'd see my favorite.

You see, it was his, he needed money and I bought it from him, and eventually gave it back. Brett took beautiful pictures, so, let's say "OUR" favorite was-

WHAT A KNIFE THAT WAS!!!!

Do we consider the case sowbelly stockman pattern as large or medium?
Its closed size is closer to the medium, the weight is closer to the large..

I'd like to think the distinction for the purposes of this thread is fuzzy and malleable at worst. We've had some mediums show up already. I just don't know if there's an "official" sowbelly thread and if posters there might get upset that we're stealing their thunder here. :p

The more photos and stories about knives the better, for my part!

Lucked into a Delrin 8OT on the cheap. It's clean, it's sturdy, and it clocks in a shade under the 4-inch "limit" specified in the thread but it'll tower over my medium stockmen nearly as profoundly as a 6375 any day.

Dealer photos, I will take some upon receipt.

Josh, my friend, I started reading the threads again a week or so ago. The last couple of months have been chaotic. Things are starting to slow down now and I couldn't pass up another chance to show the 81.

Sorry for delayed and dated bump.

Hope you all have been well and are enjoying the weekend.

Brett, good to see you back!
My most recent and already treasured large stockman is this 1999 Winchester prototype in burnt orange jigged bone, at 4⅜" closed.

Good looking knife, Brett. Great to see you around here again. Hope all's well!

Yes, ole friend, welcome back. Hope you are well, and I'm happy to see you enjoying that stockman.

I have posted this photo here on the forum before but it is by far my favorite large stockman.

The scales have darkened just a bit in the last 2 years since it was taken but they still make me smile whenever I hold it and think of all the hedge wood fence posts that I put in with my Grandfather.

Brett: Great to see you back and know things are OK with you! Love that #81 and the colors of its covers.
