I like the stockman patterns but the large stockman's are a little to large for me. I enjoy the mediums in that pattern. Here are a few of mine the Buck with the missing shield is the only Large one I have.

This 3375 Case CV 4 1/4" Stockman with pinched bolstes and yellow delrin coves arrived today. This'll make a great carry/work knife.

This one is pretty special to me, a gnarly bark ram's horn #53 Cuban. At 4⅛ inches, I think it qualifies.

You bet it does Jeff!! Very hard to beat ram's horn - especially the ram's horn on your knife - absolutely killer.

This is an old favorite. It's one of my earliest slipjoints, bought before I developed a preference for single blades. I no longer use her much, but I keep her oiled and sharp for those times I'm feeling nostalgic.

As the OP Casares took a little licence with "Stockmen" I'll do the same

Some more fine examples have turned up!

Ed Yellow D always looks smart on a knife, especially a big one:thumbup:

Jeff Just astounding Ram, beats even Stag when it's like that! No wonder Traditional European makers favour it so much.:D

Christian I know what you mean about Singles, but that Stockman is an admirable knife in anybody's collection.

Not sure how long a stockman must be to be considered large, but I think I only have one that qualifies, so I guess it's my "favorite" (even though I much prefer a stockman under 4 inches closed length). Mine is a Taylor-Schrade 61OT "Premium Stock Knife" that I bought in a gift tin recently; I haven't even carried it yet.

Like black mamba, I prefer round bolsters, and I also like the slender clip blade on this one.

Lots of more than decent knives in this thread!:thumbup:
(afishhunter, I was looking at Bucks at a vendor site yesterday, and dimensions given there indicated that the 371 is actually a bit bigger than the 301; I found that surprising! Is that true of your 301 and 371?)

Sorry for the late reply.
Side by side, the 301 I have is the same size as the two 371's. They are all right at 4 inches closed.

Here are my two favorite old Robeson Premium Stockman knives. Both are four inches long.

Really like the clip blade on this one:

Don't see a spear master often on large serpentine stock knives. Also the punch on this knife is different. This is the only Robeson pattern on which I've ever seen it. It is beveled to a sharp edge on both sides, like a dirk.

Because I feel like you can never have enough large stockmen...

The venerable Craftsman 95066, made by Schrade.

And Mac, my ever-present 6375, mugging as always. :D

Love the patina on those blades
