Your first knife of 2003?

Mine was an Emerson Mini Commander. Ordered it from Bladeart. Used overnight shipping, and it was here the very next day.

My first knife of 2003 will be a new CS Vaquero Grande, so that I can spend more time on trying to figure out how to sharpen the old one.

Yeah, yeah, yeah you all hate them. But OMG will they slice when they ARE sharp! And I know for a fact that the sight of an opening VG stopped at least one mugging cold.:p

Happy New Year

In order this year it will be:

1 Strider MFS
2 ATC Brend Fighting Hatchet
3 Busse Active Duty
4 Strider SNG
5 CRK Large Sebenza

I'm expecting a few that were ordered in 2002. Just notified by Ron Leuschen that my check finally arrived in Canada by slow carrier pigeon, so I should receive my Damascus Hunter very shortly!
First ordered in 2003 - a couple of Anza Hunters. A friend likes these file made knives, so I thought I'd give them a try!

I have two (five now) on order.

1. Boker Trapper

2. BM 555 Griptilian

3. 3 Delta Zs

It really just depends on which one arrives first. :D

Greymoor

I have a lighweight Dozier and a Wookswalker with Kydex sheath on order from A. G. Russell and I am waiting on a 710s I traded for.

Have to wait and see who shows up first but I think my first of 2003 will be the 710.:)

I'm expecting a Spyderco Standard PE and a Spyderco Massad Ayoob PE (# 692) w/neck rig to be here either tomorrow or Friday :D.....also received a Lil' Temperance (Trailing Point) this past Monday(does that count?;)).

Hopefully my first new knife of 2003 will be the Senza Classic Passaround Knife, if not probably one of Bud Nealys MASS Knife Combos.

Like the Pocono,

Well for the first time in many years mine isn't a Balisong...lol. Picked up a Spydeco Salsa for a gift..., cool little knife!

"Hunters seek what they [WANT].., Seekers hunt what they [NEED]"

My first arrival will be a Leatherman Juice Kf4 on Friday.

I'm not sure what I will buy first. I was looking at the A.G. Russell catalog and saw the William Henry Kestrel with wooly mammoth scales. I've owned knives for almost 30 years now, since I was a little kid, and have always bought very utilitarian stuff. I think I have only paid more than $100 for a knife once. The average cost of my knives is well below $50. But man oh man oh man do I want that Kestrel.

First of 2003, scheduled to arrive tomorrow, is the BladeForums.com forum balisong. Happy New Year Spark.

well for 2003 i will recieve 1 of my 2 elishiwitzes that I have on order. either the shadow or else the khan, but both should be here within 2 weeks. YAY:)

Not sure which will arrive first.

Swamp Rat Camp Tramp and Howling Rat in transit to keep my Battle Rat company. 710HS inbound from G2 (thx G2), the only model I will have 2 of. The 710 ROCKS! Overall a nice start to the year!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
:)

I first knife of 03 will be a William Henry Icon with carbin fiber inserts, due within the week.

I'm looking forward to receiving sometime this week a Spyderco MeerKat plain edge and a Blue Salsa in plain edge.

Both deales were done with BF members in 2002, but I will be getting them in 2003.
So I will count them as my first 2003 knives :)

KBR,
I use to have a Spyderco Massad Ayoob PE (# 692) w/neck rig ;)

Hope everyone enjoys there new knives in 2003.

Stay sharp,

2002 was such a good year, I feel like i should take it easy for a while and work on my house instead.

If I were going to get a knife in 2003 the list would include:

Benchmade 773BC1 LE with the red/black aluminum handle

TNT

JW Smith folder

Lile Grey Ghost

Large unique decorated Sebenza with a Sapphire inlaid in the tooling hole

A nice three blad estockman (haven't decided from who yet)

A nice display back automatic watch (any suggestions?, oops wait, that's not a knife!)

jmx

Mine should be the left-handed Spyderco Police with Carbon Fiber scales. First purchase of 2003 will be the new Case Mid-Folding Hunter with thumbstud and clip or Buck/Mayo. Have fun and stay safe with whatever you get.
