What is everyone using to keep warm out there right now?

The weather around here seemed to change every few hours. Warm and sunny, light jacket. Back out again later, gray and windy, light jacket wasn't real comfortable. Out after sundown, heavy parka -- too warm!

Right now we are entering summer (two local bushfires this afternoon), so right now I'm wearing light coloured & weight cotton clothes to keep cool :D

However during winter, I wear a base layer of Ice breaker Merino wool with an outer layer that's a Swandri Mosgeil extreme (wool with a waterproof / windproof hydrotex liner).

This combo has kept me warm & dry down to a min of -8 C (which is about as low as it gets where I now live).

For some reason, North Woodstock NH had sweatshirt weather today.

I actually have yet to get myself a new jacket for the winter so I suppose that's a good thing.

what are you talking about ? It was 34 deg c here the other day. However in July when it gets a bit less warm I 've got a New Zealand made Swann dri (swanney) in the cupboard.

Hey Southern Cross- sounds like you're a bit further south than me.

I'm wearing cargo shorts and a hooded sweatshirt right now too, in southern NH.

G'day Meako

North by North West actually.

I'm currently in the Eastern part of the Central tablelands :D

Although I've spent a lot of time in the western side of the Snowy Mountains

For the temps we get, you've got to love the swannies

BTW, when you need to dive head first into a Blackberry bush, they are the bees knees (but that's not a story I want to repeat on the net) :D

Kind regards
Mick

Carhartt artic extreme with 1000 dener nylon exterior, warmest jacket on earth.

No one else wears carhartt? you must be cold :)

I'm sitting here in a late 1980's fleece vest made by Wyoming Woolens.
I bought it at the factory for about $20 back then.
I guess they're out of business too. It's a shame.
