Your "Knife Of The Year"?

Hands down it's either the Large or Small Pro Series JYD. What an excellent duo. My perfect knife. The Small is in my pocket right now.

I would have to say that the knife that has made the biggest impact on the direction of my purchases, is the Emerson A-100. You really have to hold one to fully understand.

+1
I got the large A100 and was pleasantly surprised at its comfort in hand and utility. Its shape made me think of bushcraft knives; something I'm beginning to lok more at due the A100.

I've picked up some really cool knives worth mentioning:
Scrapper 5
Spyderco Meerkat and Caly3 CF
Fiddleback Nessmuk
But the one that's taken the cake is without a doubt the IZULA.

I bought a few high quality knives this year. Bravo 1, Fallkniven F1, Manix 2, Native 4, Kershaw Mini Cyclone, but the one I think has had the biggest impact so far...........

I'll have to say my Izula, carry it almost every day in my right front pants pocket. It was my first RAT and the one that started my RAT addiction.Otherwise,it would be my 2 custom shop 110s.

My Vic Cadet and Emerson CQC-7A. Both knives have been carried and used a bunch with great success and zero issues. Though for me, 2010 will be the year of Multitool's & SAK's. I have received no less than 5 new Victorinox knives and two Leatherman tools since Christmas.:D

Fixed blade: Bark River Canadian Special. I've always been intrigued by this sort of design and just loved it from the moment I opened the box. It's the perfect sheath knife, not too small, not too big. I don't know why I waited so long to get one.

Folder: Spyderco Tenacious. It's probably the cheapest knife I've bought in a long while, but it's really well made and performs flawlessly. I had stayed away from Spydercos made in China and Taiwan, the Tenacious helped me defeat my prejudice.

I bought a few knives this past year and liked them all, but these two made an interesting combo. Spyderco Orange G10 Military and the Busse OJ SAR4 SE.

I got a custom 6 inch Bob Lay hunter in S30V steel and an elk/bison handle. it's a great knife.

Once I figure out my camera I will post pictures.

The " Knife of the Year " for me was the release of a sub $100 knife from Kershaw, the G-10 Tyrade. As far as cost to value, it is a real winner. I ended up with six! Two other knives really made an iimpact, but were late arrivals. These were the Boker Titan Defender, my first high dollar Boker that opened my eyes to the custom quality Boker is capable of; and my just arrived large Sebenza 21 w/African Blackwood that has reawakened the Sebenzinista in me. Also, one more that I want to mention, the CRKT Hisshou has shown just what the company is able to produce. A big thumbs UP to these 4 knives!
