Your "Knife Of The Year"?

My JK Handmade Knives Anniversary EDC, it joined my SAK as my every day carry combo. And ended my search for my perfect fixed blade carry knife. It has been in my pocket or on my belt since I got it, around 6 or 7 months ago.

got many popular and desirable fixed and folding blades, but nothing has been as all-purpose and reliable as my buck 110(s)...knife of the year; knife of all the years...

My Knife of the Year will be the one I use to eat the steak I plan on having New Year's Eve!

This has been the year of the knife for me... Here is my list for this year and trust me I don't want to think about the money I have spent, although some were trades.
Scrapper6
Scrap MUK
Busse Game Warden
CRKT Stubby Folding Razel
Blade Tech Mini Mouse
Delica
Spyderco Kuhkri
Sodbuster Jr. - SS and CV
Cheetah Cub
Izula
HEST
RC3
FishWolf Saw Blade Knife - Look him up real nice light necker
Ontario XM1
Benchmade D2 Mini Grip - should be here before the new year
DP Knives Chopper
CRKT Stubby Razel
SOG Powerlock

So to ask which was the knife of the year is hard. While some have purchased more than this this year I feel its hard to pick just one. If I had to do it I would say the Spyderco Kuhkri for the folder category, Game Warden for fixed, but overall Izula take the cake.

I would have to say it was my first and only custom folder by Chuck Gedraitis.

Two knives for me, both of them coincidentally "gateway" knives. RC Izula, for opening my eyes to the wide world of fixed blades, and the Schrade 34OT, for opening my eyes to the wide world of traditional folders.

Without these two knives, my collection would be smaller than it is now, and my wishlist would be MUCH shorter than it is now.

I added a dozen new folders to my edc rotation this year ( it was a good knife year for me :) ) and my favorite is this Microtech manual CMTX-5. Definetly one of the nicest production folders I've ever used.

My folder of the year is without a doubt my G-10 Needs Work by Kershaw. Perfect size for EDC, snappy AO, great blade steel and geometry, and G-10 scales over full length SS locking liners.

My fixed blade knife of the year is my Michael Morris Profiler. My first hand made knife where I could choose the knife, the handle configuration, and materials.

Both of these knives were prizes in contests that I was lucky enough to win. Without Thomas W's and Michael Morris' generosity, I'd never had a chance to use either of these great knives.

My New Kershaw Zing w orange handle. Love it. Practical design for edc and cheap enough to be a beater. May be the last knife I buy for a few months I'm so happy it!

Continuing from a few moons ago I must say that my BM Grip from about 5 years ago is still impressing me and is my knife of the year.

Off of that the following, my RatPack knife and my fixed BM grip. I am NOT a knife fanatic however I use my knives with common tasks to common field activities.

I also bought quite a few knives in 2009. Some of these were pretty expensive. Yet, the knife that gave me that warm, pleasing feeling was the Izula. I can't say what it is exactly, but that knife was the knife of 2009 for me.

My choice for my Knife of the Year 2009 is the Buck 347 Vantage Pro. My apologies to my other new to me this year knives... please don't nick me!

Happy New Year!

The year end close out $66.99 (shipped) Spyderco Endura G10.
Best knife I've owned so far and a steal to boot!
