Your knife today in your backyard!

Rubbery and almost soft (depresses very slightly). It feels like a rubber grip but is far more resistant to wear and tear.

+1. Warms up reasonably well in the hand, too. Both the INFICoot (small, tan) and the Basic 9 (black, last knife in my post) have Res-C handles. Although not very 'styling,' the Res-C handle helps make that Basic 9 an extremely good and amazingly comfortable chopping machine.

The pattern on the Hairy Carry slabs is just deep enough to provide a secure grip without being annoying or abrasive in the hand. The Hairy Carry is another of those under-rated knives wandering quietly about the world, doing their jobs.:)

Very nice day today. Unfortunately it was all work and no play for me.

Took the boat out of the garage. Cleaned it out.
Got the garden hose out so I could start the boat.
Got it running, pulled the outboard off and got the boat ready for its trip out to the lake where it'll spend the summer/fall.
Cleaned out most of the garage.

This was all I had on me. My EDC pair:

The Sebenza and the leatherman are edc, the puuko I`m trying out today to see if I can get used to the dangly sheath. It swings around, and bounces off of my leg when I walk.

Looove that aito, Johnny Reb. Very handsome indeed. You could try going baldric with the puukko if the 'floppping' becomes irritating for you.

Its Sunday. I don't know around your parts but it is gorgeous out today. I just picked up the dog poop :( then decided to take a couple of shots of knives I was playing with today.

So this is the thread challenge - you go out and take a shot of a picture of the knife you are fiddling with today. You do it in your backyard! No old shots of your knives. If I find that you pasted a shot you posted earlier, I'll sick Magnussen on you who will tease you mercilessly!

So here are my Sunday shots!

Those are awesome knives. What is the smaller one and what are the specs?

Breeden knives are great. I just got my first--a Tyson Bushcrafter.

I had to do it since I saw this thread. So here they are my chopper in action. More pictures and chopper specs here Doug

I didn't get out today.
Lousy weather and I am helping with the research and editing of a term paper.

I have 2 on the way that I am itching to show off.
Maybe next week.

Nice action Doug - that is a good looking chopper you just made! I loved your earlier thread on it too. I hope you keeping making those!

Varg - I saw your thread today - congratulations on your new blade. The little one in my shot is a kat-knife with a PSK handle. Handle material is osage orange. Blade length 3.75", handle 4.25", blade was 3/32" thick.

After a morning lake trip I worked in the yard for awhile. Moved some dirt around, raked up some leaves and sticks then added them to a pile I already had. It made one heck of a fire.
A trapper and sak are a pretty common combo for me.

Hey! Thanks for the info. I was looking at getting a knife for my wife and she saw me looking at this thread and saw your's and pointed to it, and said, "That one looks cool."

I like the idea of the PSK handle on the KAT blade. Looks very nice!

Thanks again.

I was out with the wife and dogs and got this shot.

Not quite my backyard, but close.
