Your knifes are cool but....

To the OP, I am from Oklahoma too. I will meet up with you anytime and let you try any of my blades out that I have and most of them are Bussekin----Scrap Yard, Swamp Rat, and Busse Combat (all three are called Bussekin). I think I am far from being wealthy in cash money as I am a teacher here in OK, we are ranked 48 or 49 on pay scale--that puts me in the lower half of middle-class. Reason I say that is the Bussekin knives are a true value for what you are getting. Like I said, contact me and I can help you out.........there are a few of us from Oklahoma that have a few blades.

Why can't you make your blades easier to obtain. They are so exspensive that a common man could not even afford them. Even if a man could afford them, he could probley not find one! You market your blades "combat". Your knifes are not even use in a battle field, for a soilder could not even afford them on their salary. That is embarassing!:(

I know the mods are in favor of giving pete120 some leeway, and I'm fine with that. But the tone of his post comes across as confrontational, and I'm sure that's what spurned the confrontational replies. Hopefully, pete120 will learn to temper his tone if he has issues in the future. He also makes some comments that are simply wrong. Plenty of us here in the Busse world are not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but we still find ways to enjoy the knives. Moreover, pete120 has not done his research. Busses have often been used by military personnel, and there are searchable posts here at BFC to prove it.

Pete, I for one hope you hang around and see the error of your ways.

I am not a rich man...though Knives are my hobby.

I know own a few busses. All bought doing Ganza (which saved me some chaching.)

I am an educator with a family of four. So my funds are very limited. I put away around $100 bucks a month for knives/guns. This gives me a nice size chunk to spend on sharp pointy things and things that go BOOM!

To do this and not feel guilty about it I had to give up eating out a lunch and cut smoking back to a few packs a month.

SO maybe I could say Busse is helping me save my life/lungs.

Just my 2 cents......with good money management everyday people can put away for what they truly want as long as it isn't OVER the top......and even then my dad tucked away $50 bucks a month for almost 20 years for his Porshe'.

He ended up opening college fund for his grand kids and he drives a little toyota...but he couldn't be happyer...........GO FIGURE!

for both 2009 and 2010 I'll be coming in under the federal poverty line, yet I've been able get several of the new models through shifting of inventory purchased during better times. The initial post could be applied to any expensive gear, a barret 50 cal rifle, a decked out hummer, a customized les baer 45 - all gear marketed towards combat/military that is really expensive. If you want the best of anything your going to pay a higher price and deal with it being hard to get. If you don't want to pay the extra money, buy something cheaper that's readily available.

Here are a few pics of some of my former users. All of them have found new homes. I've sold & traded firearms for INFI on more than one occasion. Certain pieces of INFI put a smile on my face every time I pick them up (see avatar:D). If price is an issue, I'd recommend starting out with a Scrapyard. The SOD or the Regulator are both around @$100-$125 right now. It is a buyer's market. Or check out Busse Combat's Company Store for a SAR3 for @$200. It's a great little blade.

The blades below are a random sample of pics on my hard drive that I haven't previously posted on BF:) The last one is the SOD. If your in the market for a big chopper, that's the DogFather at the top in the second pic. The bottom knife 2nd pic is a B9. The B11's, the B9's big brother is fairly readily available now at close to cost. The 3rd pic is the Sarsquatch, great all-arounder. 2nd pic is a Mean Green .27 FBM with standard scales (hence the cord wrap). 1st pic is my AK and a SFNO with standard scales and the sheath for my TT Killa Zilla from before we were allowed to post pics.

Contact me via email if I can help in any way...

p.s We look forward to a review of your first Bussekin blade soon. SR101 & S77 are INFI gateway drugs. Don't say I didn't warn you...

OP- That's part of the fun of getting a Busse. It'll be worth every second of your time.

im a soon to be solider and this thread made help me decide on knife.:D plan on buying a busse as soon as get done with rasp.

You guys are all treating this thread as a guy with a valid gripe. Even if some of his complaints were genuine or had merit, I don't think he gives two craps about obtaining a Busse even if they were cheaper or "more easily" obtained. He dropped a grenade and left as you all got up in arms, thus achieving his goal. to the little positive aspects of this thread... but otherwise...

he also editied his post, let him say what he want's. i'm not rich, nor enlisted. i bought a paul's hatchet for around $200 when they came out. it has been with me ever since, and never let me down.

Or maybe we're all just suckers.... :o Heck...IDK....

I don't consider him a troll, I think it's a valid question. These are the same issues I have with this company and the primary reason I don't own one yet... I'd have dropped money on a Yardkeeper a long time ago if I could get my hands on and afford one... And as far as an enlisted man's salary goes, it would take a month or two of hard saving around living costs to be able to justify most of these.

Wow... where do you find specs then? They don't give any blade dimensions on the ordering pages. Edit-found em. I may have to put an order in for a Howling Rat/Warden combo. Oh no... I can see where this is going...

yeah but if your young not married and dont have have car most of your bills are going to paid and an e3 brings home about 1500 a month. so 350 to 700 is not comply crazy and plus they do offer a little discount to the military i think... i just hope the have a style i like in production when i get ready to buy because i had rather buy from them directly.

Have you tried posting a WTB? Many folk find that quite effective.

not being able to afford something is not a legitimate gripe with the company.

there are lots of things i would like to buy but my income does not allow this.

maybe porshe and rolex will adjust their prices to suit my spending desires.
