Your most impressive knife?

CAS brothers Raptor.
The sharpness of the blade, the incredible handle blending 3 different materials and the san mai perfection are out of this world. Organic materials. There is a soul in this one :)
I feel very, very lucky and blessed to be the current owner of this one.

I love to use my knives and find excuses to do so, even at work.

This “Chopper/Fighter” was made by Bill Siegle and is probably my most impressive knife overall.

It’s impressive to look at, but even more so to hold due to the amazing handle ergonomics and finish.

Then once you start chopping it gets even more impressive because you can keep going without hotspots and with minimal hand fatigue.

This tree blocking a trail was my first job with it and it took about 30 minutes to get through.

Here’s my hand immediately afterwards. I was extremely impressed. 😻

Plus, someday I might have an opportunity to yell “Get to the Chopper!!!”, and that’ll impress the heck out of the ladies. 😜

I have many that impress me greatly in many different categories and price ranges, from one in particular that cost me $27, up to my most expensive. However I cannot choose at the moment, so I'll just say that this is the most impressive Sebenza I've seen strictly due to such innovative and stylized art work.

Most impressive? My farewell gift from the Embassy in New Delhi was a ceremonial Khukri that was engraved with a farewell message. The Khukri is Huge, used to behead cattle. I'll have to get a picture of it.

Edited by staff: Please leave any diatribes at the door and simply discuss knives in this thread. Nobody wants to hear about whether you hate knives made abroad or in any particular country. Discuss the knives and what makes them particularly impressive, not the politics and policies of the countries they come from.

For whatever reason...

Maybe it's Chinese, but built better than anything USA made you've ever handled. Maybe it's just the best bang for buck your ever owned. Maybe it took the most abuse you ever threw at a knife, and survived it.

For whatever reason, and I want to know the reason, what is your most impressive knife?

For me it's the Boker Plus Mangiafico Canoe...View attachment 2272398

A small Sebenza-like look (but definitely not a design owned or started by CRK, just popularized by), beautifully executed with blue ano Ti scales and bronzed hardware. With S35VN blade and a truly great action this thing rocks. Super solid and satisfying jettison opening, however definitely not drop shutty type of knife, which doesn't bother me at all. I've never been more impressed with a knife and I own a small Sebenza. This thing kills it trifold.

Now I cannot speak to it's ability to stand the test of time or abuse, because I don't keep knives long, nor do I use them for much. So take my opinion with that very necessary grain of salt. However, I doubt you'd find many that would say Boker does anything subpar or not up to the task. So yeah, this is mine without a doubt!
I have no problem holding myself accountable. I apologize for causing a derailment of this topic and mistreatment of other Bladers.

I'll try my best to not repeat an impolite form of discussion and participation.

Good of you to man up, brother, but honestly, the comment was made in a general fashion with no one member here being singled out, or standing out.
(But they say confession is good for the soul, though I wouldn't know anything about that. LOL.)

Carry on. No fingers were pointed in your direction. 🍻

My most impressive knife has nothing to do with looks, or geography or anything else. It’s entirely in the utility of it.

My Good Knife Co, Michigan Utility Knives as designed by @bikerector are my most impressive. I have one built by @David Mary and another by @JK Knives. They are impressive to me because I have used them in bushcrafting, wood processing, food prep, general household chores, yard/landscaping etc… and the design just plain works. Amazingly versatile design.

Those knives are nice but can you tell us more about the back pack in the first photo?

I sure can. It’s my 5.11 AMP12. The AMP series was designed around being very modular, which I really appreciated since I can configure and reconfigure as needed to match the tasks of the day.

Unfortunately, they were discontinued and the blown out on sale around Christmas 2022. They were a great product, and mine sees very regular use, along with its smaller brother, the AMP10, and my wife's AMP24.

And there's a knife in each of the three pictures below, so it's not even off topic!
