Today, I bought this one. It took me two days to make up my mind and find it in stock. It will be shipped out tommorow and I will post some pictures when it arrives.

Most recent?

Kershaw 2445ST "Barrage." Thirty-five dollars, from Wal-mart, no less.

A frame lock for under $40...what's not to like?

Not a single thing. ;)

I got my first Kershaw, a Junk Yard Dog II 1725ST, this week and am very impressed.

Next on the list is a Kershaw frame lock to see how they work. :D

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I think it's Kirby Lambert Inferno with Ti Bolsters and Blue G-10. They can be had for as little as $550. SteelAddiction have a couple in stock, with a different handle set up.

I ordered a GTC Supersonic. Delivery in Sept. 2009 but it is something to look forward to.

just picked up a finn bear a couple days ago for 12 bucks....I know, nothing special...but it sure feels nice for such a cheapo, and it will be great for cooking and such in the woods....

I just got my Rough Rider Barlow with jigged brown bone. The backsprings on it are so still that I feel like my nails are going to break. Trying to get access to the larger clip-point blade is near impossible without opening the pen blade first. Suggestions?

I kept the blade of my U.S. Classic Moose Stockman in 135° position for a couple of days. It helped to weaken the backspring a bit.

Thanks, I tried searching Lambert but came up empty. I'll check out Steel Addiction.

I bought a few slipjoint Puma stag handled knives at a local store on deep discount a few years back. Other than that, my last slippie was my only Buck 301, bought nearly twenty years ago. That changed last week, when a friend showed me a Boker Tree Brand Classic.

Memories of my long time gone Dad and his beloved 'Boker Tree Brand' pocket knives came back into my mind... I did the unimaginable - I visited Evil-Bay! I got two last week - two more yesterday - maybe a fifth today... evil, indeed. Why?? The 'gambling' nature? Maybe. The quality of those first two left me speechless. WOW!

If you haven't looked at the quality, fit, sharpness, and finish of the current German-made Bokers, you need to. I'm not a slippie fan, but these things may change that. When the next two make the trip, I'll post pictures. If you asked me a week or two back what I expected to spend $ on in the way of knives, I'd never guess slippies. Hmmm, maybe one day I'll get my first Case?
