I kept the blade of my U.S. Classic Moose Stockman in 135° position for a couple of days. It helped to weaken the backspring a bit.

Update: Man, that really works well. I've left it open for almost half a day and it's already weakened up a bunch. I can actually access the larger clip-point blade without struggling. Thanks a bunch!

You're welcome! I repeat this procedure time to time to keep up the easy opening on mine.

I grabbed this for ~$7 last week:

These are the new babies added to my collection in the last month. I'm gonna add a little comment to each one of them based on my first impressions.

My Helle Harmony. Wicked sharp scandi grind. Excellent edge retention. Very comfortable handle. 3.5" laminated steel blade, ideal for small bushcraft tasks. I will use it as a neck knife most likely.

My BRKT Aurora. Now, officially my ideal Bushcraft knife. The size (4.5") and convex grind of the blade, the handle, the steel, the weight; everything in this awesome knife has made me choose it as the knife that for me fill all the requirements of an ideal bushcraft tool. BTW... I followed your advice Mike, thanks.

My BRKT Fox River. I bought this knife before the Aurora, and at the beginning I felt a little uncomfortable with the size of the handle, but after a while I not only got accustomed to it but I now love everything about this knife. The shape of the blade and the shaving sharp edge that you could get. If you grab the handle properly not always in the hammer position, you can do everything with it. Awesome knife

My Helle Eggen. Another wonderful Scandi knife. Very comfortable and beautiful curled birch handle. Wicked sharp 4" laminated steel blade. Very nice bushcraft knife.

And finally, my Fällkniven S-1. Along with the Aurora, this is my ideal size of knife. The S-1 is another favorite. It has a laminated VG-10 5" blade, with a convex grind. Is thick enough to make a very sturdy knife, but not as thick as to prevent it from making delicate and fine bushcraft tasks. Awesome knife.

Hope you like them

A Spyderco Tenacious and SOG Flash 2, both PE, just arrived. I haven't had the opportunity to do many tasks with them, but I have been carrying the Flash 2 all afternoon and I love the way it carries in the pocket. Hopefully I will have some pictures up soon.

Just picked up a Kershaw JYDII yesterday, and ordered a JYDII SG2 today. Next will be a JYDII Composite!

Man, that XM-18 and SNG stonewash look awesome! I'm about to snag a Strider SMF with tan G10 here in the next week or so!
