Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

btb01 btb01 Looks like a fantastic user Barrett  With that tough attractive Micarta and chopper blade the 93 has much going for it. I'm too wuss to use my Coco Northfield one...but if I had a Micarta one, yes!

Thanks, Will

It’ll definitely make a great user, Will. I’ve got the Tidioute jigged bone (the one with the ram’s head shield) that has seen some light carry/use, but I think this one will see even more pocket time.

I have always been interested in the fixed blade H10's, but it has never been a pressing thing... I recently decided to try to acquire one... and with the timely info from Texoma Texoma found one at Mike's online shop.... it arrived while I was still out gallivantin' around Ireland/Scotland, so I am just now posting pics.
It's one of the micarta ones.
I'm pleased with the size and feel of it, even though the handle seems a little slim to me... I'm thinking it will "work" better than it "feels"....
Overall, it's a nice knife, with a couple of minor, cosmetic kind of issues. The "big" thing is that it came with a pretty dull edge... not quite butter knife, but I could press down moderately and slide my thumb back and forth on it without needing a band-aid.
I started working on the edge today, and am almost there with it. Definitely couldn't repeat the thumb slide now... at least not painlessly....

So, early opinion is that I like it, and will hold off on "final answer" until I use it a bit....

hornetguy hornetguy Interested by your reactions, mine were the same. They're good looking knives and follow classic lines but I find the handle far too thin and skimpy, particularly when in use! It's because I like a thick slab on any fixed blade- Puukko, Grohmann etc for comfortable handling. These GECs are more for decorative use I find, others may well feel differently.

The Kutmaster Barlow was a steal at $2, despite the glued breaks in the bone, both sides, and some bone missing.
The Ideal jack was always a cheap and ordinary knife, but it's not so ordinary for it to have lasted so long in such good shape. $5 is a bargain, I think.
The Camillus looks barely used, though it has been sharpened and not too badly. The springs are still shiny.

And also a Boston Abrasives Crystolon oilstone for $1. Not unused, but un-dished.
And a pair of monkey-head pliers for $1.

I have over 200 pocketknives, but today I left home without a single one of them 😱 So.....spent seven bucks at the hardware store I had to stop at this morning and bought a little Imperial barlow. Yeah its a clamshell and the edges are rough but it walks'n'talks pretty dang good, and now I'm not knifeless!
I had no clue these were still available at hardware stores and such. Neat!

Just arrived this evening is a gift from Bob (Rufus1949) for no reason other than he thought I might like it. Duh! It's a pre-war Robeson in beautiful jigged bone, what's not to like. He noticed I had shown a few others and thought this one might fit in. It certainly does. Many thanks, Bob!

Recent find. Mint Queen cutlery jack with winterbottom bone! Think it’s a #10 or #18. Took a gamble one this one and got lucky! Thought the stamp was the big Q but it’s a tad smaller compared to my Barlow example but it’s also not super small? 18BF5E57-B60C-4AFC-8ECA-E1C56A654FCF.jpeg

Absolutely blown away!

Has some pitting which also makes me believe it’s non-stainlessEC096A83-DE59-4845-8F9D-06CC5934CE35.jpeg

After handling this one some more, I'm trying to decide whether to keep it and modify the handle, or just move it along and use one of my other fixed blades if I need one... I have 3 or 4 others that would serve the same functions (size-wise) as this one..
