Nice and gracious knife delivery day. Rufus1949 Rufus1949 proxied this lovely TEW 2 blade and of course in Bob fashion, he can’t let a transaction be and he threw this nice carbon steel mini trapper in the box 🙄. The 78 was a very generous gift from TXGatorbait TXGatorbait . Thanks fellas 😊!!!!!

The TEW is just built like a tank. Really tight. The action is well…..stiff!!!! Gonna have to do some work on the Spey. She will shred a nail if you’re not careful. I think a classic example of a workhorse knife out of Sheffield.

78 is such a fine knife. I think Clip blades get all the love but for me a Spear is more useful. This 78 is a fine example of a medium size jack knife. Perfect action and wonderful fit and finish. Lucky to have it.

That's a good 'few' ;):D comprehensive!

This release has stirred my attention and it's kind of incomprehensible. Why? The 39 Bunny Knife had no interest for me, too spartan and the blade arrangements not to my taste anyway. Spey blades I usually put up with on Stockman but generally prefer a small Drop-Point or Pen as substitution...Trappers I don't use unless the TB version with Wharncliffe, even then ;) So the scenario would appear set in stone..but there's always something in Traditionals to drag you out of a rut or open a new window. Really like these in single form (the White Bone Kifer one at the latest RV is arresting too!) The single suits the frame absolutely, nice and long. Even more bizarre is I fixated on a Blue Micarta one! Micarta is great material but Blue is a colour I've never fancied on a knife before. Now I think I've got one on the arduous journey to Europe sorted.

Never say Never

I think you will enjoy it, Will. Looking forward to your thoughts on it.

So sorry for your spey infection Will.😷
I find the blade fascinating, and that is coming from someone who likes a straight edge.

Oh, I wasn't going to buy any more knives for a while. Then yesterday I found this Schrade USA Uncle Henry LB5 with leather sheath in pretty much new condition. It's obvious that it's never touched a stone and it's still factory "shaving sharp". I've been contemplating (but valiantly resisting) buying a Buck 501 or 55, but I think this one will do fine instead.
