Wow — that is really incredible! Webster Marble would be proud.
Who makes this one? The smaller diameter marlin spike is very interesting.

Thats a beautiful knife my friend. Thank you.WinMag775 This knife was made in the 30's, the maker (Therias) is long, long gone. It's called an Issoire knife, and the punch was traditionally used by wine merchants to remove the bung from wine casks.
OK -- now that I've seen the video posted in the Stag thread, I gotta say that one blows me away! Absolutely gorgeous stag, beautiful bolster treatment, and really interesting and different damascus. I love that the damascus is incorporated throughout, including on the guard and safety lever. It is not surprising to see that it brought home the Best in Show at the Oregon Knife Show (did it also win at Blade?). An MSA Safety Knife on steroids -- just fantastic. Big congrats for scoring this one!
This is a Joker Nomad. I have yet to split wood with it but in the second role, camp knife for food prep, it works beautifully. I can't understand how a convex edge in a blade 5 mm thick can cut like a kitchen knife, thin slices from a tomato.
That is a great looking knife, congrats.
Beautiful Marble's -- congrats!View attachment 2589864
This Marbles Trailmaker arrived just in time for Marbles Monday.
That is a beauty Rick.I don't know much about Bill Simons and there is very little on the web about him or his work. Oddly, there is nothing on this forum that I can find either!
All I know is that I've been admiring everything I've seen that he's made. This sowbelly is excellent.
I wanted a folding knife from a smaller maker and went back and forth between quite a few ideas and makers, but just couldn't pass this up after seeing it. Very happy with the decision.
