Fit and finish not perfect, but it looks like a good solid work knife at a very good price. Feels very good in hand.

Finally received a second axe handle from the handful of preorders i placed a few months ago. Hopefully they are finally rolling off the lines.

This one came with just ok f&f. Good snap, but the pivot had a little too much side to side, and the spring is a bit raised in the open. I always think the latter is particularly egregious on a single blade. Should be flush at least in those 2 positions nearly 100% on singles. But here it’s not so significant that I felt the need to send it back with everything else being pretty good or easily fixed. You’ve got to pick your poison sometime. There is almost always something to pick at. So I peened the pivot a touch, cut in a quick sharpening choil, and put a real edge on it. Good to go now. I do really like the gator jigging, which I have not had before. And the dye job is excellent, very rich Kelly green and consistent on both slabs.

First GEC in a couple of years or more. A caplifter was my first ever GEC back in 2015 or 2016, I think?
