Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I was third in line for this one and became very fortunate. It should arrive from Ken in a week or so.

Third time's the charm Gus :)

I got bitten hard by the traditional bug -- completely out of the blue, as I've been exclusively a locking/modern knife guy for many years -- and my research (much of it here on the forums!) led me to the Ka-Bar Dog's Head Coppersmith Barlow

Welcome to the porch! You picked a heck of a first traditional. Those dogheads start out stunning and just get better as the shield and bolster start to patina. Great start to a collection.

This is my first post here, and I'd just like to say thanks to everyone -- especially here in the Traditional sub-forum -- for making BF such an amazing resource. My wallet, on the other hand, has already borne the burden of a small flurry of knife orders over the past couple of days, and wishes a pox on all your houses. ;)

Welcome to traditionals, Dadpool, and congratulations on that splendid coppery barlow!:thumbup:

As for BF being an amazing resource, and your wallet wishing a pox on all our houses: better get used to it!! :D:D

Thanks Jeff. Although not a word normally used to describe a knife, I have to say this knife looks "sleek".

Congrats on another beauty, Tom!:thumbup:
You certainly are "barking with the big dogs" a lot recently!! :D:cool::cool::D
You MUST be smitten! :p

Yep GT I definitely have the fever ;). Hopefully this is the last for a while. I definitely bought this one because of the aesthetics, this one in particular just looks so good to me :).

"Hopefully this is the last for a while."
Like quitting smoking, it's the easiest thing to do. I've done it hundreds of times.

Ed The Osage Orange is a revelation, fine look to it. I'm eagerly awaiting my liner-lock version.

In the meantime, this Teardrop arrived today. I immediately pimped the bone a bit and pleased with the outcome. No gaps and decent W&T, sharp despite a burred edge and odd bevel. Blade is not centre but it's not touching the liner (close thing though..) Very reasonable price and makes a tidy light carry/gent's knife. It sort of reminds me of a quill knife in some ways, the frame itself could also house a different blade if wanted, say Wharncliffe or a more conventional Spear.

Regards, Will

ED - That is a nice one. A little darker than some I have seen including mine. Very nice:thumbup:

This City Knife arrived yesterday. I am smitten ;).

Tom - That is a beauty :thumbup::thumbup::)

Arrived yesterday. Love that buffalo horn.

BT - That Queen is a real looker :)

Will - I am eager to see some photos of your Liner Lock when it arrives. That Teardrop is a great knife, small, thin, lightweight and very handy.:)

I recently received several Colt and Rough Rider knives that I'll post here over the next few days if I can get photos of all of them. Here's a RR1383, a 3.75" lockback with a 3" stainless clip blade and "jigged bark bone" covers. It's well made, decent fit and finish, smooooth action, locks solid. I'm happy! :)

Thanks to you guys that complimented my knife and Will, that Case Teardrop is no slouch either. Some very nice looking knives here. I swear those Colts and Rough Riders are looking better and better and their quality is very good.

Thanks for the warm welcome, jrtodd46, RDaneel, Cory Hess, 5K Qs, and Dr. Scott!
