I've got my eye on a few; but I'm trying to avoid any knife purchases for a while (I'm anticipating a reduction of expendible cash flow ; so I'm pretending to be responsible). It's been a battle, and I'm probably going to lose - and I'm okay with that idea - but I'm not giving up, yet. The biggest deterrent is that I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to stick them in my pocket and consider them users; and I don't want to start "collecting" traditionals. (Truth be told, I plan to post a number of modern folders that I don't use...but I'm holding off because the influx of cash would break that small thread of resistance, lol).

Anyway, this is my most recently acquired - I had to force the GEC 15 out of my pocket; but this has been a nice substitute. The pull is easily managed, and the blade came with a great edge. I got no information on the blade steel, but it appears to be stainless.

Pulled the trigger on a new Mora Classic #2. So far it seems more solid then I thought it would be. I manly just wanted to try out the carbon steel on this and I always wanted to try a Mora.

Nice looking Schatt and Morgan hhmoore The blade steel on that one is ATS-34, similar to 154cm. A very good stainless steel with good corrosion resistance and edge retention

Heh he. I cut down trees thicker than my arm with mine. I baton inch-thick limbs off poles with it. The edge will roll slightly with hard use, but you can just push it back with a steel. I built a two-man lean-to with it and after 30 seconds on the steel, it sliced free-hanging paper without a snag. I'm considering replacing it, with a hatchet.

The sub $20 Mora's are amazingly great cutting tools. They will easily do all the cutting that 99% of us will ever do. Rough Riders are the same for traditional style folders.
So why do i continue to buy more expensive knives ? I don't know, but maybe this is an indication of addiction.

A 70 Country Cousin to add to the Case Sodbusters family.
I'm quite bemused. Won't reopen the Queen quality thread, but pictures speak by themselves.
Nevertheless I already love this knife, the handle is fixed and she will be another great working knife (my first D2, I feel like a youg maid!).

Wow, are you going to send that back?

My new/old Celebrated Fight'n Rooster cattleman arrived today, and it's nicer than I thought. Completely mint, new unsharpened, except for some patina around the tangs. From a 1985 SFO in smooth natural bone, mostly white to cream, with a few dark flecks mixed in. Pulls are about a 6½ for the clip main, and a 5 for the two secondaries. Shield has two pins, one each side of the "bowtie." Pins, bolsters, backsprings all nice and flush. A beauty! :)

That sounds really good! I would join you in a toast but the wife would have me on a stick. I get to take the dog for a walk instead. Enjoy the celebration!

You gave me a good laugh, Rick, enjoy the walk! :D

You're only a couple hours away, come on over and I'll share. ;) :p

By the time I get there you'll be wasted. :D (not necessarily a bad thing) But thank you for the invite! Enjoy your evening, Jeff.

Here's some knife content just to stay on track.
