Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I like it just fine. :) The whole knife is sooo much more slim than the harness jack, it just disappears in my pocket. I think the pen blade is just as easy to access, although I wouldn't really say it's more-so than a standard jack pattern.

I also thought that maybe having the pen at the opposite end would not only make it a little easier to open each blade, especially the pen blade, but also prevent the blades from rubbing together.

I just scored the predecessor of Dan's sawcut slim, the single spring White Owl in dark chestnut bone and 440C. Me very :)!!

Thanks, cake, they made very few of these and I missed them when they came out, so I am very pleased to find a used one in good shape. The previous owner didn't know how to open a blade though, because the pen has plenty of clearance from the clip, but still has the blade rub visible in the photo. OK for a user, though.

Great find Jeff, a really pretty knife and yet big enough for real use. I was carrying my Light Bone Cyclops only yesterday. My hunt for an Elk version is proving vexing.....

Thanks, Will, the light chestnut is the REAL rare one, I believe only 4 made. How did one ever find it's way to you, across the pond!?!

Yeah, miracle! Actually, Trand helped me out on that one - I'm really grateful for that.

Found this penknife Saturday before last at an antiques fair. A George Wostenholm with Firth Stainless blades made circa 1930s.

Ooooohhhh! Looks in excellent order, unused even?

Congratulations on landing that one.

Beautiful, S-K!

Those White Owls sure are nice, Jeff and Will! I have a Northfield version with a clip blade and bail.

It was a great day!

Very nice sir. What year is that knife? How's the blade centering and walk and talk?

Blades and walk and talk are superb. It's in perfect condition. I know a lot about Ulster but nothing about Ulster Cutlery lol, Charlie offered the following information about it;

"...and probably the nicest one, an older serpentine 2-blade Jack with Rodgers bone handles!"

I was sold as soon as I saw the photo :)
