Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

There's nothing really spectacular in this latest bunch, but my in-laws from Michigan have gotten in the habit of picking up traditional knives for me whenever they run across them. That makes all of these kinda special. They drop off a few each time I see them, which is usually holidays or when they're traveling between their summer and winter homes.
The Case penknife has Meyer snow plows engraved on it (a Michigan company) and the slim trapper is from Olsen which is a Michigan knife company but this one was made in Solengen for them.
I just think that's really cool of them........They're the best!!

Saw this one a few week's ago at the Badger knife show in Janesville Wisconsin, I new the seller & tracked his email down through another friend & dropped him a line, drove 100 miles round trip today to grab her. 2008 Case/Bose Arkansas Hunter

Wednesday's mail included the 2 Fremont Jack's

Just in... A French knife but I can't make out the worn mark on the blade. The blades snap nicely and decent stag scales.

Very interesting find s-k. Unusual lined bolster through the pivot-pin and a curious blade assortment in some ways: punch? cork-screw,two spears and an imposing saw! Near sunk-joints too. Seen use but looks very desirable indeed.

Thanks, Will

Just returned from a trip down to North Dakota. That means heading to the parcel pick up to take possession of, in this case a nice 11 traditionals. A few are destined as gifts - Buck Squire, Case mini-Coke bottle. Received a nice Schrade 33ot in box, a '93 Winchester doctor with pearl handle. Couple Fight'n Roosters, 6 blade congress and clip master locking whittler, both in pearl. Also a very nice Hess Tiburon with maple burl and stag handle. Ve
ry pleased with a Cattaraugus Gunstock by Case, blades are very nicely ground and quality is comparative to the Bose collaborations, and it was a super good deal.Took a bit of a chance on an old S bolstered SCCo barlow and am very happy, its in as found condition. To my eyes, used a bit 60-90 years ago and put away for me. :) Also came across a 65-69 Case electricians knife with blurry photos. Its only mark is faint initials on the blade. I found that one looking at the sellers items after looking at another knife described as a Sheffield gentlemans knife, mop. Its a mint Princess Margaret by Ibberson, made in '77 by a guy with SS for initials. My first Stan Shaw.
Only one knife still en route, an oldstag Hen & Rooster 3 3/8 pen knife. Good times.

I picked up this smooth ivory bone 85EO at a knife show in Ohio today. But I'm even more excited about the Pine Knot box I scored there!

Nice knife Mark! That box is really unique. I'd say you done good.

New Case Tony Bose Lanny's Clip arrived wednesday

The LC is a great pattern. I hope you decide to carry and use it. That's one fine knife.

The picture gives little idea of just how pleased I am with my FK, it's really well-made e.g. a production knife flush in all three positions!! That's a rarity.

The stag on both sides is deep and groovy, particularly on the pile side shown. It goes into the bolster as well on both sides. Pity you can't see the production pix on GEC's website any more (or can you??) as I'm convinced I saw this one, well I like to think so! I'm really happy, I hope all your latest knives give you the same pleasure.

Regards, Will

Just found a local flea market which was not the same counterfeit junk in every booth, just tables of assorted trash where you root around for the hidden treasures. Just what a flea market should be. No great finds here but not a bad haul at all for $7.

Left to right... a nice old Hammer Brand, an all metal Utica Kutmaster, an Imperial, and a Colonial with a broken spring for parts. Good snap, no red rust, full blades.

"Not a bad haul"?? I think that's fantastic, Dave!! That's the method of growing my collection that I envisioned when I decided to start back in January: pick up some solid used knives at yard sales, flea markets, etc., clean 'em up a bit, and carry 'em. I've been surprised by how much "legwork" is involved to actually find a knife or two that way. So congrats on your big score!

Nice #53 Jeff :)

I guess this is my newest but also not quite... I let this Ebony #33 go sometime last year and it made its way home earlier this week. Here's a pic of when I originally got it.
