Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I acquired some European knives and a Buck 373 in the last few weeks.

These knives were bought at a store that sells mostly kitchen utensils:

I bought two of the pruners and gifted one of them to my mother in law who is an avid gardner.

The Herder is an heirloom, the knife from my wife's grandfather who was a farmer. It came with a handwritten note from my mother in law, describing how and when the knife was carried and used by her father. I'm really honored this knife was given to me, it's a valuable piece of family history:

Like the Herder, the other knives are all made in Germany.
This one is a really cheaply made scout knife with plastic scales:

I'm contemplating on rehandling this knife with wooden scales, I though they were wood, but they're actually plastic. The blade is in good shape and I really like the robust awl:

I like the looks of the next knife despite it's plastic scales:

And last but not least are the Buck and a small fixed blade [emoji4]

Picked up this Camillus Barlow #51 yesterday. It is in good shape. Cleaned some rust out and sharpened the blades. The pen blade was dull as a butter knife. The main blade has a slight recurved area. Good strong pull and snap on both blades. Reminds me of the knife I had in scouts in the 70's.

I just got a couple of new rough riders.
The first is a moose in strawberry bone, and the other is an awesome tiny trapper in black lip mother of pearl.

I think the 1940's to 1950's Camillus Barlows , and other patterns , are the best buys out there. Very well made and low priced. I like my 3 very much and know that you will like it too. Now you need to find The ones with the Camillus and the Tip Top on the bolsters .
