Can't take a picture as it's too late and dark nearly all the time here. But just got a Queen Small Stockman in WCSB from lambertiana, a really great buy thanks! My thanks too to jone for sending it on to me here in Europe, more Forum decency.

Regards, Will

That's a smooth lookin customer, Trand! Probably will darken nicely with use too. Great snag!

Got a shot in during the very few daylight hours at this time of the year. Really pleased with this one and my thanks again to lambertiana and jone for making it happen.

Regards, Will

I don't have it in hand yet, but I received the maker's notification that it's ready to ship.

Single blade custom trapper with 3" ATS-34 blade steel and stag scales. Nickel silver bolsters and pins; brass liners.

Here's my 99 that just showed up in the mail! Love this LB in Autumn bone, gonna be an excellent EDC and a bit of man jewelry.

Singin, that is some beautiful bone in the handle of your new Wall Street (they need to make you a "Music Row" version)! Leadchop, that is a fantastic fall picture - calendar shot. I've been busy getting my hands on some various 47 pattern Case knives - got these two last week, a 1978 two spring 63047 with Turkish Clip main, and a 1995 three spring 6347 SS with the standard Clip main blade (a very blocky knife - both the Shield and the construction). I also found a NOS Schrade USA 8OT - seen one picture of that knife you've seen them all! OH

Thanks for such a beautiful picture!

I love the smooth autumn gold bone-- I love me some smooth bone, and the variegation in the coloration is a boon.

How does the knife feel in hand? The butt end looks like it might jut into one's palm, depending on hand size?

Thank you very much, Sarah! The balance is critical on a knife like this or any Jack pattern really. I have to say that it does have a nice weighty end to it. You wouldn't think with such a thin knife, in design, that this would be the case but it is. Feels very substantial and locks up tight. And yes, I have the clip version on order. :D

This is an excellent point you raised, Sarah. The butt of a Jack knife pattern is critical for the proper balance in your hand. I prefer a 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 size for this reason, among others. The fit in your hand does matter when using it. Here again reviewing the older knives can teach any younger knife collector this very thing. Maybe your ideal knife size is less or more, depending on your hand size, but just remember to check for the proper heft in the butt end of the handle. You do want it to rest in the palm of your hand.
