Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I've always liked the City Knife. That's a nice one!

Finally got a couple I've been hunting for.

I bought these over the last month and a half. First is a Canal Street Stockman in smooth ram's horn.

Next is a couple of Barlows. Canal Street and S&M.

A couple of GEC's. A 76 and a 92. Buffalo horn and Green Pick bone.

Last. some straight blades. Two Hess knives and a Battle Horse Knife, bottom. The Hess knives are very well made and sharp.

Wow, that Camillus appears to be in incredible shape.

Indeed it does. Nice knife!

Thanks! Yep, it's in great shape I think. The seller seemed to think it had never been sharpened but those scratches on the blade make me think someone might have at least tried to sharpen it. Otherwise, strongest springs on any knife I personally have, even a little shine left on the bolsters. Kinda won it on accident but I love it - I've really taken to vintage jack knives lately.

Thought it might be nice to have a thread where we can show and tell a bit about our latest arrival. Got this Böker Germany Stockman in carbon, yesterday. Delighted with it, great snap, well finished and only a barely discernible gap. Smooth Yellow Bone and at 3.25" a fine compact but not dinky pattern. It's about GEC Conductor size.

Very very nice knife.

Roger

I like it, antique yellow/chestnut is my overall favorite color and GEC does them all so well. Wow, I like the yellow on that Boker up above too.^^^^

Just arrived in the mail this morning. Very pleased with it! Feels very solid and natural in the hand. Very sharp from the factory! It's different, but in a good way.

Thanks Roger!

The Böker Germany carbon Stockman, 3 and 3/8th" is an an excellent pattern, has a low riding Sheepfoot which is my preference-gives a better in hand feel. Also available in stag, Green jigged Bone and Red I think. Nor are they costly either.

Regards, Will

I also think it's different in a good way. What is it?

Grohmann Mini Russell R340S. Made in Nova Scotia. Sort of a smaller, folding lockblade version of their D.H.Russell belt knife. They call it a "high carbon stainless steel" blade. Rosewood grips. Time will tell for sure, but so far I'm really liking it!

After a little bargain hunting online, I bought these two:

The camp knife was stuck and needed some oiling, but it works pretty well now.

The smaller jack is a Wostenholm I-XL, I'm not sure about the age. It was sold to me as pre-WW2.
After a quick clean and oil, the snap is amazing on both blades.
It's razor sharp, no wobble, I like it a lot.
