I found one of those last year at a "cowboy store" that is a Case dealer.
Does anyone know if the CV chestnut bone Swayback Gents that just came out specific to one dealer or will all dealers get them?
Amazing!Arrived yesterday, on the job today

Jackpot is right! I know we on the porch are but a small fraction of Case customers, but I'll never understand why The Swayback Jack and the Barlow are not regularly produced in cv.My Case swayback gent (top) that I've had for a while just got a big brother -- a Case swayback jack (bottom). (It's just a trick of the light that the SBJ blade looks dark -- it's reflecting my sweatshirt -- plus it's got a thin coating of mineral oil on it.)
I found this one yesterday at a nearby hardware store. (They have a small and mostly empty Case display, but it had a couple of treasures in it!) I was initially attracted by a very pretty muskrat, then I noticed a stag peanut, then finally I saw this one: a 2009 chestnut bone CV swayback jack (TB62117). I think I hit the jackpot on this one.

Nice! If they offered that with a birch wood or stacked leather handle, I wouldn't be able to resist! My Mora Eldris arrived on Wednesday.
You know how sometimes you buy a new knife, and it's a nice knife, but it just somehow does not speak to you once it's in your hand?
This one wasn't like that.
I bonded immediately with this knife as soon as I opened the box and it's been in my jeans pocket every night since. It's in my pocket today. Surprisingly pocket friendly, likely due to it's light weight (2.8 oz). 12C27 blade steel. Scandi grind. Came pretty sharp out of the box. I've seen lots of YouTube reviews on how well it works as an outdoor knife. So far, it works pretty good for city type chores, too.
I've read a lot about how hand-friendly the handle is and how much control it gives (both true BTW), but haven't seen a lot of pictures illustrating that. So I thought a pic illustrating that might be nice. It'll make up for my poor photographic technique. IMO, the value/price ratio on this knife is astronomically huge. (It's a Mora. Of course the ratio is huge.)

Around the end of the year I had giftedWill Power a couple of knives. Will warned me that he was planning to reciprocate. A couple of weeks ago he emailed me that I was to expect a package. He and I were both getting concerned but the package finally arrived this week.
First up we have a beautiful Le Theirs folder. This is a large folder with beautiful black Ebony handles. The fit and finish are excellent. The first time I have ever had one of these is hand, I am impressed. Will explained that it was excellent for food prep in the kitchen or on picnics and such. The second knife is a gently used Schatt & Morgan #99 Harness Jack. It is Green Jig Bone and 1095. This knife is extremely well made and the fit and finish is excellent.
Will I can not thank you enough for this my good friend!

Two exceptional gifts from two exceptional members Ron, and gifted to an exceptional recipient as well
Congrats on that knife! Spectacular across the board. My Case/Bose Lannys might be my all around favorite as well. The fit and finish is nicer then the full customs I own when you really examine the details.Well my Case Bose Lannys Clip has arrived fresh out of the mail after jumping threw some hoops to get it since it was signature receipt requested by the dealer which now that I have it in my hands was understandable . But it had arrived Thursday and all I saw when opening my mail box was a receipt from the postman saying my sig was required .
Anyway I am impressed beyond words and I must say this is my favorite traditional to date . This one is a perfect example , the Dark Molasses jigged bone is gorgeous in every way .Fit and finish is remarkable and rivals any knife I’ve ever owned and that says a lot . Ok I can probably write pages upon pages but let’s get to a few pictures to say the rest
Edit : Have no idea why the bottom picture looks darker . But the Damascus looks the same in person . Took the picture with the same settings to .im thinking it was just the angle of the camera .
