On the left is my newest, a 440C 74 & on the right my well-loved 73, courtesy of our friend bloody pawprint @bloody_pawprint.

There's a parallel conversation going on now about the value proposition of $10 vs $100 knives. For me these 2 are worth every penny. Let's hope they can keep it up for a while yet.

I've not seen a Frontier knife 315. Really very nice. At first I thought that all the features on the clip were a bit busy, but now I like it, especially the way the grind dips under the pull and swedge.

How old do you figure it is?

Don't really know it's age. I picked it up on advice from the guys here on the forum. I'd have to go back and look but I think one of the guys said they were made from the mid 70's to early 80's. Grandad carried one just like it, only in black for as long as I can remember.

I was very lucky last week to get this on the exchange from @blademan 13 . I have seen @paulhilborn post his beauty just like this , only better , a few times and I knew immediately that sooner or later I would have to get one if possible .

I liked it so much that I even bought a 78 that I thought would match it except for the jigging .

Thank you Lyle Fry for having the SFO to have these made and thank you Paul for being an enabler .
