Never owned a Puma, but I do now. It's the SGB Gelder. Similar to a trapper with a clip and spey blade. The blades are German steel, but the knife is assembled in China. Overall for the price, $24.00, the knife is good. The blades take a good edge and hold up fine. The biggest con though is the cheaply maid bail. The bail is thin con-caved , not rounded brass. I would like to replace the bail if I can find a supplier.

Got these two in the mail today. I'm really blown away by both. Beautiful knives. I've been on the fence about modern Case knives but aside from the edge needing some work this one is in point.
And as for the Schrade, brass AND serrations? I couldn't resist.

I don't know where to ask this question, but I really want to find out....someone on the big bidding site, is trying to sell a Northwoods big bay mammoth for almost 600$... is this ridiculous according to value?

Sorry. In order to ask questions of valuation, one must have a membership level which allows one to sell on BF. But, somebody is making a walloping big markup on that.

I wasn’t planning on it, but I got surprised to see a Roland Lannier on sale in the US for about 40 to 50 percent off retail after shipping overseas would cost. I waited for someone to snag it and even notified a couple of other forum members who like French knives, but the knife kept sitting there unclaimed. I decided to grab it and now I have a complete set of Roland’s knife patterns (excepting on he made for a designer that isn’t Roland’s own design, so I don’t count it)
