Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

This knife came in today from Mike at Collector Knives. This Case SS 6347 with Rogers Walnut Bone covers is superb. She has no chips, cracks, gaps, drips, runs, or errors and it has great walk and talk with plenty of snap. It has ringed bolsters which is a nice touch for a Case knife. There is virtually no underblading and the joints are almost completely sunken. The fit and finish is superb. Like the Case Sowbelly I got from Mike the other day, it matches anything that has come from GEC. Further, it's 3 7/8" closed length will make it very pocket friendly.

You know - I gotta say here that Case does a very good job polishing their knives. They are head and shoulders above GEC.

That’s a fine looking knife, I’ve been meaning to get one for a while. I have a 63090 that’s in the same series and it is a near perfectly executed knife as well.

They are both from Tom Krein’s personal collection. Unused, he just puts his grind on his keepers. Lost the STREK etch, but the regrinds themselves make them incredible cutters. I got an offer I couldn’t refuse, tried to get only one, got it, HAD to have the other. Lol.. I’ll pocket one for sure, but this is the only knife I have two of, so I will put one up. Always a sharp fresh edge if I need it too!
Thanks, Neal
PS-wondered if I should get a note from Tom, as to their authenticity and provenance...

r8shell r8shell -pretty obvious, I suppose...:D o’course, that could be the one I like the best, and therefore wish to preserve. But, you are absolutely correct! Can’t keep my hands off it! And I will say the Spear blade is one of the sexiest I’ve seen in a while. I’ll put up some better pics, but my back just went kerflooey(the bad kind), so it’ll be later. Can you tell I love both? Even the tube (only got one:thumbsdown:) is really sweet. Only 15 frames I have, nice to have some perspective on them, since so much does/has been made with them(15s, I mean).
Thanks, Neal

This 2014 manufactured Case SS Sowbelly with Pocket Worn Bermuda Green bone covers came in today from Mike at Collector Knives. I gave it a good going over and there are no chips, gaps, drips, runs, or errors. There is virtually no underblading and the joints are almost completely sunken. The fit and finish is superb. It matches anything that has come from GEC.

I don't usually get this enthusiastic about a knife but I really like it.

Thanks for the comments, Ed. Your post prompted me to order one just like it from Mike. I think I got his last one in Bermuda Green. Should be here later this week.

A03DA976-F73F-49B4-BE6A-C03F6F6C89A8.jpeg I just got one of the 71 Bullnose in red micarta and I am super impressed with it.

Nice 7-8 pull, no gaps, fit and finish is pretty perfect, and spring is actually flush at half stop.

It has been a while since I got a new GEC and I am liking this a lot. Just wish they did some in nifebright, that is probably my fave synthetic cover material.
