Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

A guy I know bought this one at a to good to be true price. Its brand new, never cut a thing and had a touch of blade wobble. Strange for a Horn Knife. I couldn't let him send it back and took it off his hands. These are difficult (nearly impossible) to find and I'd been looking. Tiny Squeeze in a padded vise and it is now the nicest knife I own. No wobble at all and the blade still falls freely when unlocked. I have been thinking that I should carry and use this knife. Never knew Jess Horn but I reckon he didn't expect his knives to sit in safes all there lives.

I don't care what you paid it wasn't enough. Jess Horn is grail material. Gorgeous lines. Use it!

I've had my eye out for a nice Buck in saw cut black Delrin for a while now. I stopped in to the local knife shop yesterday and once again the owner had been out to some knife shows picking up some new old stuff. A Buck 309 from 1996 caught my eye and I started checking it out, but then he pointed out this little 305 Lancer from 1987. Given my fondness for tiny knives I had to take it home. (According to info I found here on BF, production of the 305 was switched over from Camillus to Buck in 1985, and from 1985 to 1994 buck used 425m steel on the 300 series. The BUCK shield was used from 1985-1989.)

Camillus, with what I'm pretty sure is jigged purple heart covers, still excellent walk'n'talk
Edit: found out some great info from several great people here on the porch, this is a WW2 army PX knife, and the covers are rosewood. Also that this pattern is hard to find.

Ulster scout, good walk'n'talk, only fault is awl just catches the liner on closing, got to ease it down
ily70n.jpg

Imperial scout, fine sand paper to the main, no longer can make out blade etch something that ended in "de" rest of knife is great, clamshell construction, good walk'n'talk

Group shot, picked up out of "the big bowl of knives" at a local "open when I feel like it" antique store. There was other gems in that bowl, several oldies treated so bad I dang near teared up look'n at them. Few more I'm going to rescue when I got the budget. But overall great day! Prices varied but I got them all for $53, so that averages 10 bucks and change for each. I feel good :D

I fell in love the moment @Gary W. Graley posted images of this “Slim Daddy Barlow.” From the defunct Amherst Cutlery. It’s such a well made knife that one can be forgiven for thinking it’s a Custom. The clip point is about 3 1/4” and the steel is D2. Gary made a beautiful slip and beautiful lanyard. Any day I can get a Gary knife, is a good day.

Ok I've seen lambsfoot, I've seen sheepfoot, but dang if I wouldn't call that beast a RAMSFOOT!! Great knife, love how the bail and bolster carry the rope theme.

Ah I see, it is a neat pattern. I still like the ramsfoot idea lol. The way I see it a lambsfoot gets narrower from tang to tip, sheepfoot stays parallel, ramsfoot increases in size. I like the blade shape, but that bail and bolster combo, really classy imho.
