Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

My single blade Pemberton arrived, although i had to pay the best part of $28 to get my hands on it, bringing the total cost of the knife to $118 that is cost of knife plus postage and import tax, is it worth it ? well i do like single blade knives and it fits in with my collection of small GEC knives that is two #22 Magnums and a #09 Esquire, but to be honest anything smaller than my White Owl or Calf Roper and my stiffening hands do not work to well, but i think the Pemberton will take over from the even smaller Esquire on those days when a tiny knife is required, so i suppose it is worth it insofar as it will be a non threatening legal carry and it is darn cute LOL..

KBA, when you say: "I need put a new edge on it", what criteria do you use to say it did not arrive sharp enough for you ?
I have somewhat adjusted to the fact that less than half the custom knives i have bought have arrived truly sharp, which for me means: easily shaves or 'pops' arm hair; "easily", without effort, is the standard.
It seems to me that the ability to build a custom knife and the ability to put on a super sharp edge, are separate talents and many knifemakers have not mastered the latter.

Good question.:) For me, a knife is only truly mine, and not just a collector piece, once I put my own effort into putting a new edge on it. While this one arrived sharp, it is not hair popping, another reason I put I needed to sharpen it. I may handle a knife a bit to make sure I like it enough to keep it before putting a edge on it. As for customs, this is only my third. The first two were scary sharp. This is the first custom I'll touch up a bit. I honestly hope to never find out if most customs come hair popping sharp...my wallet and wife would not be happy if I did. :D

Here's my latest edition. I just ordered a bunch of knives at once and was delivered about five of them yesterday. This one was my favorite of the group.
