Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Is the Northwoods Gladiator from a few years back when Dave Shirley was bringing out the Scagel style folders ? I too have not seen one before, or any Traditional with S60V steel. How is edge holding & re-sharpening ?

I can't remember the timeframe, but yes this was one that Dave Shirley did. I haven't had this one long, but it is ground real thin and full flat ground, so it will probably remain very "slicey" for a long time, if that makes any sense.

I already cut myself once and it slices through apples like no other traditional I have.

I really never had any intention of buying another 110 after gifting my old one to my Buck knife buddy back home! My Buck friends over on that forum influenced me other wise, and I'm so glad I did now! This one has fantastic F&F and not as heavy as I remember it being or my tolerance has changed:confused:.

New to me: a medium-size (3.25" blade) coureur des bois knife by Dean Oliver (River Traders; canoe mark) and a sheath by Ralph Williams (Bear Tooth Leather), made left-handed for me.

It's really a replica of sorts, as I gather from reading. Apparently, real 18th century knives almost always used iron pins in the handle instead of the brass which this has, as brass was too pricy. Also, typical trade knives had half-length tangs, whereas this one has a full tang.

The 36 arrived today. The 25 and 06 in the last week. And I have had the Polkowski custom for years.
