Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Just got this back from a pal I gave it to years ago. He never carried it and it sat in a desk drawer forever. He confessed he just isn’t a traditional knife guy (likes his spyderco) and wanted me to have it back. He wanted a nice fixed blade so I hooked him up with a great maker and tossed down a deposit for him to get his first custom. Kinda excited to see what he ends up with. But anyways here is what landed back in my lap...45A668C2-85D6-45F1-BEF8-232CA5346795.jpeg

Very impressed with this Otter Messer Anchor knife, solid and centered Carbon steel blade, pull about a 7. Brushed stainless bolster, steel liners and smoked Oak covers, all for under $60 shipped. Great snap and the Anchor inflicted one of my deepest cuts in years:eek:

I haven't been doing a very good job with this thread for more than a year. I rarely post my own new knives here (although I got very few new-to-me knives in 2020), nor have I been keeping up with what others post here. But here's a new knife, a fantastic and undeserved gift from another BF member (thanks again, Steve). It's a Case copperhead with Wharncliffe/pen and an EO notch, and I've been looking for one of these since I became aware of their existence.

First knife I have bought in 2021. Was wanting to add a Case 2020 tang stamp to my Case collection and had found a Case Platinum Dealer on the Case website. I traveled three hours west (for work) and when finished went 12 miles further north to the Platinum Dealer, a hardware store in a tiny town along I-95. Walked in, friendly place, lots of cool hardware - I asked for directions to the knife display - guy took me to the TWO CASE display cabinets - they had about six yellow Delrin handled knives and maybe a dozen Camo Zytel handled Case knives! I just laughed, however the yellow Delrin were all CV and all tang stamped 2020, so I reverted to my standard choice just to have one and bought this 3318. Case needs to do some serious work on their website dealer directory! OH
