Thank you, Paul.Really really nice John!!!
I’ve been seeing these often in the threads but don’t know anything about them. Looks great
Should be a good one next time you are in solidarity with your wife doing her gardening chores! This case Sod Buster Jr. came in Tuesday. I've got a slew of these knives in various colors and steels but have never had one with the "Case" logo etched in the cover.

Funny you should make the comparison to #71. I picked up a Bolus with drop point blade off the exchange for the sole purpose of wanting to switch it's ebony covers for the micarta on my Otnat. After I made the cover swap and held the micarta Bolus in my hand, the first thought I had was "sodbuster".LionSteel Bolus. I‘ve been thinking about picking one of these up for a while, had a reserve for a green #71 Bull Nose and decided to go ahead add this to the order.

In my mind this was a larger knife than it actually is (I guess I never looked at the measurements). Turns out it’s almost identical in size to the #71. I like the sunken joint, the blade is pinchable and nicely ground, and the factory edge is excellent. I think the hidden lanyard tube/pin is an cool feature, although if you like using paracord for a lanyard, it isn’t great. (The only way I could get it through is by “gutting” the paracord, and even then it wasn’t easy.)

The hump in the middle of the handle is a bit awkward for me, as it doesn’t naturally fall in between any of my fingers. As a result I have to adjust my “natural” grip, although I’ve been carrying this knife since yesterday and have already gotten used to it.
Overall I like the knife, and I’m looking forward to putting it to work.![]()
Going out on a limb here but... I’m guessing you like it!Two days early! Thank you CK and USPS.

It isn't quite my birthday yet, but I thought I'd better check the contents. Then I thought I'd better see how it rides in the pocket. Then I did a Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn and dug the compost out of a downspout with it. Then I whittled a hook with it to clear the downspout with.

I never did see Tom or Huck use a Barlow for anything but digging.
I really like the Case named in the handles that way - very distinctive! This case Sod Buster Jr. came in Tuesday. I've got a slew of these knives in various colors and steels but have never had one with the "Case" logo etched in the cover.

That is as cool as a moose - my favorite TV cowboy (as a kid) on my (still) favorite pattern pocketknife - what a Stockman you have there! OH
Thank you, Bruce.what a Stockman you have there!
Nice ones, John. I like A.G. Russell’s yellow Delrin a lot. There’s just something about it.
