Received the last of the simple metal-handled folders I ordered, this time it's a Mercator Black Cat. I told my wife this was the last of this type of knife I was going to get and she took that as meaning my entire collection was complete. I was able to correct this misconception without too much damage. :oops:

In other recent acquisition news, my son purchased a Balisong trainer. I'm trying to figure out where I went wrong...

Today was a pretty big day for me.... I got in my new Case canoe in CV, and the two knives I got from Andrew's "going to the dogs" sale... a Case copperhead, in really pretty jigged bone (chestnut?), and a Henckels stockman in jigged bone. It's my first Henckels, and it lives up to the hype. All three are great knives, wonderfully made. I haven't found a flaw in any of them yet.

Thanks my friend it sure will. This pattern really feels good in hand to and I really like the action it’s not a bear trap but very firm perfect for this pattern and a working knife. Also they put the nail Nick towards the tip of the blade giving you more leverage making it easy to open.

Like you I must be very selective of my language when talking knife collection to my wife!
 
Been on a muskrat hunt for several months to find the right knife and the right deal. Nice to check this quest off the list! New old stock from 1996. It will be a good solid one to use and pass down. Wish I could have swung for an older one with a pinned shield, but vintage is pricy. I’ll cross my fingers and hope the super glue will stay in the drawer.

Mail call! Several packages arrived this morning, but this one is easily the star of the show. A very generous gift from Jon0385 Jon0385 , and great addition to my fish themed knives collection. A Wenger trout to go along side my Victorinox fisherman, love it! Thank so much Jon!
