Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Picked up this used, but beautiful, John Lloyd with mammoth tusk. Steel is unknown. The blade size and shape reminds me very much of a Randall model 21, which is a really nice size and shape for skinning deer. Someone else already knocked off the new, so it is ready to go to work.

It is svelte for its size. Here it is next to a Case Bose Bullnose Trapper aka Jumbo Trapper for size reference.

The exchange here is the best and yet the worst thing about this forum. 😊

Two very nice carries.

Sorry brain freeze

Finally, new SAK Excelsior in cellidor arrived, along with the two remaining items in my kitchen kit downsizing rebuild. The cellidor Excelsior is almost twice the thickness vs the smooth Alox version, and is a bit stickier in my fingers. Makes this one less fumbly for me (increasingly important for me with sharps).

You're tempting me Gordon ;) a bit thicker sounds just right... nice kit.

Thanks! And agreed. If they still had the Excelsior Ones (single blade) I'd have a couple.

Sorry about the enabling. I love the concept of a SAK pen, but the Alox I have are just too thin and slick for my fingers. This still is a very light and small pocket carry.

No messing about here...one is on its way from France to me  inter EU so should be quick, er....

OOOOHHHHHH! Like that one a lot 😻 General Purpose certainly, but reminds me of those old Lino knives. Any guesses about the age on it? I'd suspect Depression Era (which one;))

Thanks, Will
Thanks! Kent knives were made by Camillus for F.W.Woolworth, a ubiquitous "five and dime" store. I see a few sources list them as made from 1931-1955, so you're probably not wrong about them being Depression era. You could buy some nice cocobolo wood and good steel for cheap back then.
