Two very nice carries.Picked up this used, but beautiful, John Lloyd with mammoth tusk. Steel is unknown. The blade size and shape reminds me very much of a Randall model 21, which is a really nice size and shape for skinning deer. Someone else already knocked off the new, so it is ready to go to work. The exchange here is the best and yet the worst thing about this forum.

It is svelte for its size. Here it is next to a Case Bose Bullnose Trapper aka Jumbo Trapper for size reference.

Thank you Rufus. Purchased both used here in the exchange.Two very nice knives.
Elegant minimalismFinally, new SAK Excelsior in cellidor arrived, along with the two remaining items in my kitchen kit downsizing rebuild. The cellidor Excelsior is almost twice the thickness vs the smooth Alox version, and is a bit stickier in my fingers. Makes this one less fumbly for me (increasingly important for me with sharps).

I believe the swedge is, but the grind has been different for different people, depending on whether it's a Monday knife or a Friday knifeVery nice! Is that grind and swedge a BOTM exclusive? Either way I like it!!![]()
OOOOHHHHHH! Like that one a lot
No messing about here...one is on its way from France to meThanks! And agreed. If they still had the Excelsior Ones (single blade) I'd have a couple.
Sorry about the enabling. I love the concept of a SAK pen, but the Alox I have are just too thin and slick for my fingers. This still is a very light and small pocket carry.

Thanks! Kent knives were made by Camillus for F.W.Woolworth, a ubiquitous "five and dime" store. I see a few sources list them as made from 1931-1955, so you're probably not wrong about them being Depression era. You could buy some nice cocobolo wood and good steel for cheap back then.OOOOHHHHHH! Like that one a lotGeneral Purpose certainly, but reminds me of those old Lino knives. Any guesses about the age on it? I'd suspect Depression Era (which one
)
Thanks, Will
Helluva find, Bruce!Made a three day trip to Charlotte and visited a few small town gun shops I haven‘t been in since the covid madness began. In one I found some older knives for sale, including this 1988 Winchester 3904 3-spring Whittler - hell for stout! OH
