Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

It would’ve been cheaper to buy a gun!!!
Depends on the gun but a lot of them yes lol. I have expensive taste though so the gun I’m wanting would’ve been quite a bit more than these. Dan Wessons aren’t cheap.

Just pulled this one off the exchange and it came with a very artistic slipcase, to match.

Received the Rough Ryder denim bow trapper today. Even better than the tortoise shell. I’m not a nit picker so I guess there were a couple of small things that I overlooked but the denim has nothing wrong with it. The denim micarta is well done and looks good with the orange liner. The big ‘R’ on the bolster doesn’t bother me as much as I imagined it might. And of course it’s DENIM!F41A5717-2E3B-403A-B020-907907DCAEF9.jpeg

First this is my first Ebay win, neat little Ka Bar jack. Walk'n'Talk is good, everything tight like it's supposed to be. Was very dull but I quickly fixed that problem 👍20230209_134726.jpg20230209_134739.jpg

With the bunny knife for size comparison. 20230209_120159.jpg
Finally this Kershaw Federalist. While not a true "traditional" really it is a great knife imho. But the main reason I want to share is that it is a very gracious gift from Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 he had noticed how much I liked the Kershaw Culpepper.
Interestingly when I was more into moderns I was a Kershaw/Ken Onion fanboy.

There will be more of this pattern coming for me. Something about the shape of it really sings to me in hand. Have a Stag version from the same year coming and a Case/Bose Eureka Jack on the way. Already have a NW Ocoee Jack, so that would make four of this pattern for me. I have a pretty small collection, so no other pattern has four examples in it. 3C5E68E1-F95A-4F7C-9E03-E6BD689E5B36.jpeg

Congrats!
A lamb is on the list

Unfortunately the list is alot longer than the budget
But it's on the list!
Thank you. the 2.5 inch blade seems kind of small but I think that's pretty standard. I don't know how long the GEC Waynorth one is but i'm guessing maybe 3 inches. I have a k'roo custom on order that i think is 4.5 inches closed so i'm sure the blade will be a bit longer. Regardless, this one is going to be a heavy user. I will be fixing the edge bevels tomorrow and sharpening it to my liking.

Remember J jackknife and his daddy's wisdom

It doesn't have to be big, it just has to be sharp
true, I'm looking forward to spending a little downtime tomorrow sharpening it. I could use more practice anyway. I had a KME system before that was just too time consuming on some of the better steels I have. I sold it and now have a KO work sharp with the blade grinding attachment and I really like it, so long as I'm careful.
