Yeah!!!! I just got my Cherrywood handled, brass bolstered, fingergroved, made in God's US of A 110. Yes it is stamped BG-42 right on the blade. Gentlemen this is a good day.

I'm still waiting for my 15% refund.....which is a couple of days late.

Well, I got a nice mint 309 with box, date stamped V (1989), which I needed, the package fit thru the mail slot in the garage door but I got nary a discount

Just so you don't worry,,,,,,I have 2 -110s (one a two rivet), 6 -112s (Versions 2v2,3, 4,5v4 and Hoyt) and a 119 with no date stamp................................................there I said it, it's true and I feel better now that everyone knows.......300$s

Geez, enough already again Roc!! At least you were one of the very first, and apparently few, of us who have actually received an order to date; those of us who ordered damascus blades, which are apparently on back order, may be waiting for a long, long time and we're not continually fussing.
 
I'm not continually fussing, just expecting reasonable customer service. I was being nice.....the refund is far more than a couple of days late.

I have a Damascus blade on order (I guess we call it back order, now) and I haven't said a word about that snafu (which is pure incompetence being that any seller should at least know what he has available to sell before taking orders).

I also understand that there's a chance that the Damascus blades may not have the Buck Custom stamp on them, in which case, I don't want one.

I suppose it's time for me to call them and find out just what the hell is going on.

Buck makes great knives, but their operation is chaotic, disorganized and I can see that employees are being pushed to work long hours and asked to produce more than is reasonable......thus the many mistakes.

Buck is always good about fixing mistakes, but they wouldn't make so many if they'd just get organized and ease up a bit on the push for production.

I have a feeling that they're going to experience increased costs on the Damascus and I'll probably be doing them a favor by asking them to either cancel my order or change the blade to BG-42.

Anyhow, I give credit where credit is due and I bitch where bitching is due and Buck deserves some of both.

So.....here the latest. Pete is going to check again on my missing 15% refund to my credit card and I am optimistic.

I canceled the Damasque order and will make a new order for a different knife and Pete says he will still honor the 15% discount on my new order.

So.....I assume all the glitches are past us now and we'll have smooth sailing from here on out.

The fun is over.
