DAVE! Do you think you can delete your insults from the memories of the people you trashed and insulted here?

You seem to desire to take on the role of King Sycophant and bully anybody who dares to voice a complaint against Buck.

Frankly, I don't think Buck wants your protection and they are probably embarrassed by your bad behavior.

Now shape up, old boy. You have revealed almost too much personality for anyone to stand.

Well, I happen to step outside this morning to move a car......

There, on the driveway by the garage door......

Yup, somebody left my treasure laying on the driveway all night in plain sight and we were home, so they at least could have let us know.

Buck said it was coming priority mail, so I didn't suspect the brown-shirt goons of Ubiquitous Parcel Service would secretly toss it on the driveway like a damned newspaper.

Nice that none of the neighborhood kids made off with it overnight.

So......with a certain amount of trepidation.....I open the box.

The knife is........perfect.

It has the normal Buck Custom mark and the "Designer's Choice" on the other side, with BG-42 as usual laterally along the blade.

I would post a pic, but my camera is down and there have already been loads of KOA BG-42 pics posted here anyway......refer to any of them with really nice inlays and that's about what mine looks like.

My, my.....I hope the delivery of my Damasque Buff is less complicated and stressful than this one was.

Take your time, Buck......and build it just as carefully and as perfect as this one.

(And this time, send it the way you say you are going to send it so I can watch for the right delivery service and not have it sit out all night.)

Ain't UPS wonderful! My Buffalo Horn 110 was sitting on my porch in plain view of the street at 2am when I got home from a night out, when someone was home that entire evening. They just dropped it and left without even knocking.

Glad you got your knife, hopefully mine will get here today!!!

Thanks......I hope your luck is as good as mine or better.

I really do prefer the postal service, because at least I know when to expect the mail carrier the same time each day.

UPS? You never know when they might abandon something on your doorstep.

Get that camera fixed!

We NEED more pictures!!!

I guess it depends on who the driver is. Mine always comes to the door and rings the doorbell even if he doesn't know if anyone is home. I am glad you got yours Roc. That was weird about shipping the sheath separately. That doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Glad there are still places where the UPS drivers are responsible.

They said it (the sheath) was a glitch of some kind that they were trying to correct and having trouble with it.

The computers are taking over, I guess.

Oh......even more weird is that they sent a second cheap China sheath along with the knife.

Nice to have two, as I usually just pack away the leather sheathes anyway.

The China sheathes are sturdy and handy and I can always break out a leather one for dress-up day.

;)

Rocinante, congrats!:)))
I've been waiting for my smooth buffalo+rivets 110... And Pete agreed to make it with BG-42 steel!:) But I haven't gotten a "shipped" e-mail yet:(

OK, Dave, it was me that brought up the Credit Card angle, so here's a bit more on that... :)

Let's say that Chris' [TLC/Beer Clap whatever] CS110 was charged to his CC at the "wrong" price, call it $400 instead of the $200 now quoted...(Forget the 15%; no one here believes that BS anyway)...And Buck charges his CC the $400...It's six days away from the end of month (when VISA/MasterCard starts charging 20%+ interest on this months purchases)...Buck doesn't get the CC credited in time, and Chris has to pay the interest on the $400 charge *even if Buck credits the difference* after the 30th...

...Or maybe Chris pays off the CC purchases before the 30th...stuff his wife has charged, too...and Buck hasn't credited the account yet...so Chris pays off the charges anyway, to keep from having to pay those outrageous interest charges...and it's another week/ten days before Buck credits his account...that's three weeks that Chris can't use that $200 that Buck overcharged him...Chris (and his lovely wife!) can buy a lot of nice things with that $200...Maybe even another CS110...but can't because Buck screwed the pooch in the first place!!!! :grumpy:

I could go on with alternate scenarios all night...But let's say that Chris *intended* to buy another CS110 with that overcharged $200...Now Buck has screwed themselves out of another CS110 sale because of this mixup...For a month or so at least...And at a time when another CS110 or two could mean the saving of a job at Buck... :(

There's such a thing as accountability...and someone at Buck isn't doing their job...

Which post are you referring to about the WW 110 with mismatched scales? I'd like to read it...did it make Dave angry that someone complained about it?

I posted one a long time ago (not from WW though) and would like to read this one as well.

Thanks

I dont recall... I dont think he does either... :D

Maybe your post is the one he refers to? Either way it was a long time ago...

...TLC/Beer Clap...

Too funny.

Not just a "Buck" thing...but ya notice how fast a company can take from your credit card, but getting a credit back takes days, if not weeks?

I had a transaction error that I noticed on the spot buying parts at a car dealer. They took the money right away but it took ten days to credit the account for the error while interest compounds.

You are so correct...
