I'm not sure if the stock in the center is thick enough, but I've been wondering if the blade could be reprofiled into a dagger style blade, then the handle could be modded with some nice walnut to lengthen it slightly and get the grip dropped more down toward the center.

I doubt I qualify, but I'll give my thoughts. Some jimping on top, ferro rod striking, magnesium scraping, etc. Mod the handles so you have a large hole in the ring area, and a small hole forward to allow lashing. If the handles were micarta you could put a spindle pivot depression in them. Convex the edge to make it a bit more durable and easy to care for. I really like the BK14 and wish I could afford another.

Ok. I've been thinking about this and I have no idea if it has already been done but here goes:
1. Fully serrated edge
2. Longer handle. I know everybody else has already asked but it's still a great mod.
3. Black G-10 handles with a stainless steel lanyard tube.
4. Flat black Duracote with my Becker number etched on the left side & my initials on the right.
5. A little bit of fine jimping above / in front of the handle.

That's about it for me. Thanks for the chance!

Wood scales made about an inch longer. Something nicely figured. 20 lpi checkering on the flats immediately forward of the scales, as well as on the spine about an inch forward of the scales.

A lot of neat ideas guys. I gotta say so far only two of them speak to me but nothing has totally won me over yet. feel free to submit as many ideas as you like. You don't have to be limited to one entry. I'll say it again. Be creative. Go nuts. I am quite capable of doing more than just putting handles on and convexing the edge. Let's make this fun!

I'd like to see a ramp added. A squared off swedge on the nose, some scales, weld on a little nub thing on the bottom....you know kind of like this:

It would be fun to grind all that shit off.

:D

(I'm not gonna win am I)

I'd like to see you regrind it into a very thin, pointy, miniature fillet knife.
Put some fine jimping on top with an elongated handle.
That would be a perfect trout knife for me.
Cool contest Tito!

Change the handle to be like a striker knife, and regrind the blade to be a trailing point

Tito. That's funny! Out of all the T names I've been called that's the first Tito. You get brownie points for originallity!

Large stag handle with a full polish blade that is more pointy shaped. Lots of nice file work on the spine.

I'd like to see it stripped, patinated dark and with a set of izula-style handle scales made from mammoth ivory.

That would look CLASSY.

Trade...............take your meds:confused:

Strip and polish. Nickel silver with stag or jigged bone slabs. 1/4" Nickel silver pins. Maybe some red or white liners, depending on scales. Becker/Loveless. Dead sexy. And I think it is very doable.

Kephart style blade
Matte finish
Convex edge
Fiddleback maple handles
Handles contoured
Mosaic pins
Leather back pocket sheath

I like the handle length the way it is.
