I don't know if it's possible but I'd like to see the handle modified to something of a mix between the benchmade gravitator and CRKT Minimalist.

Still thinking but here's a very rough idea of what I mean.

Ergonomic scales to fill the hand a little and space for a lanyard would be nice too.

Edit1:
Maybe add in a partial hollow grind.
I also like groove in the spine for the thumb when choking up the grip for small work. Towards the tip too for the index finger and smaller precision cutting or it might just be an excuse because I like clip points sometimes.

Edit2:
So I'm thinking that bending and reconnecting the metal is probably annoying. Maybe cutting off part of the handle and using the scales to complete the handle is a more viable option. That gradient portion is representing a slight hollow grind. I think file work instead of conventional jimping would look great on the spine too.

Hmm, not enough metal to give it the Fisk Magnum Camp blade profile that I'd really like, ala the Necker Magnum, so instead, lets spear point it with a light swedge on the point, not sharpened though, that'd make it a dirk or dagger, even worse than being an assault weapon... then regrind the blade into a recurve shape. Lose the lower guard, and top it all off with vine file work all the way around the handle, and midway out the blade from the handle... not all the way to the swedge though. Polish it all up to clean the grinding marks, smooth, but not mirrored, then mask off some artwork ('don't tread on me' comes to mind) then give it a media blast to matte finish that's not masked off.

Come on guys, I know there's a hell of a lot more of you guys out there than this. Don't be shy. There is no prejudice here. Hell I don't even have to like you. Just your idea!:D

I would love to see a spearpoint as well as jimping like an esee ls and micarta slabs including a bow drill divot as well as a ferro rod inside the handle with tinder tabs..with a kydex scout sheath.

I have exactly ZERO experience with this knife. I don't have one, have never held one or even seen one in person, but I'll take a stab at this.

How bout reshaping the handle to make it into a Push dagger type knife. Grind and sharpen the spine to make it a double edge. Fill in the empty space of the handle with a custom made highly polished black in color wood, with stainless steel pins or screws. I'd like to see my former unit insignia (in color) on on the scales (101st Airborne Division).

I'd also like to see the Phrase "Rendezvous with Destiny" stamped or laser etched on the blade.

Thats my mod.

Awe man, I should have read all the responses. I've already seen a shit-ton suggesting a spear point. So much for my mod.

Another idea. Raise the edge and make the blade shape wharncliffe style. Nice and pointy, much like GEC's slip joint wharncliffe blades. Polish the spine and put in some vine-like file work on the handle portion, extending about 1" onto the blade portion. Add a nickel or titanium bolster and black g10 handles over a thin blue liner, attached with 2 hollow flared pins.

I was also thinking much the same as above, but extend the belly of the knife and pattern the blade after the bk5/15 for a more upswept look with a false swedge.

And to my earlier suggestion, add reprofiling the blade to make it a recurve with a spear tip. So, to recap, highly figured wood scales, about an inch longer. 20 lpi checkering on the flats and spine just forward of the scales. The checkering should appear to wrap over the top of the knife, if that makes it easier to visualize. And it should ride in a nice leather belt sheath, dyed to compliment the color of the scales.

Dang. N/mind. Saw an earlier post with the recurve spear point thing. I'm not the smartest guy in the room. CRAP!!!

Let me take a stab at this...

#1 Original - Hard to improve on this knife so instead of improvements I am calling these customizations.
#2 Squirrel Skinner - Gut hook, gave it more belly, jimping, grind away some metal right where the handle meets the blade instead of lengthening the actual handle, some kind of non slip coating on the handle.
#3 Squirrel Skinner 2 - More belly, wannabe choil thing (same as above).
#4 BushKrafter - Sharper point, wannabe choil thing, nice wood handle but leave the hole, hollow pins.
#5 M4.5 - .25% M18 ;)

Any variation of the above would work too.
I think I will draw some more, that was fun.

I would like to see a .30-06 shell and bullet (minus powder/primer) set inside the handle. Once this is done have a clear polymer handle be molded or shaped around the existing skeleton and newly added shell and the whole handle lengthened. Add jimping to the blade, change the blade shape to a thin spear point that looks like half of a bullet, add a patina to the blade and drop her into a sheath made of deerskin with a liner in it. That would be a sweet little skinner or multipurpose blade in my opinion.

Awesome contest, thanks for the opportunity!

I would like to see some jimping, 1 inch back from the blades spine, and 2 inches forward. Yes I like jimping. :D
Oh! And say you are looking at the knife from a birds eye view, the jimping should be angled at a 45 degree along the spine, how awesome would that be?

Next, it would be AWESOME to have a 14, with a 1 finger choil, and for the blade to be stripped and tiger stripe patina'ed, BUT leave the coating on the handle and along the spine where the jimping is not.

The handle should be covered with wood scales in the pattern of rattlesnake skin. Maybe work up some type of print? But those colors would be awesome. I would love to see it attached with stainless steel hardware.

Also, I'd like to see a 14 with a tanto blade, yes TANTO! :D Would make using the knife for "fine" tasks easy along with the choil.

After this, sharpen the last part of the blades spine ( looking at it from the side, it angles down towards the tip).
The spot where a false edge would be if it really had one. I think that part of the spine sharpened could come in handy in certain situations.

I would want the sheath to match the handle so a variant pattern of dark brown, light brown, and desert tan could be alternated. Maybe ( thinking pancake style kydex sheath here) one side desert tan, the other dark brown and the rivets could be light brown.

I think it would make for a wicked looking knife and something that I would be extremely proud to own.

What this is easy! Make like a Super-Mini M-18! obviously due to blade shape it wont be exact but id love to see a little draw knife section on a bk14! And that would be a challenge :) Imagine the cool fuzz sticks we could make with it!

I didnt see Pyops response! He gets credit then. I think it would make a good utility blade.

Heres another one...

Nessmuk
I would actually like to see this one with some micarta or g10, hollow pins too.

I drew all of these off of an original template, so it SHOULD be possible =)
