your purchase list so far 2018

I'm on the preorder list for the Lionsteel Shuffler with natural micarta scales. Pretty sure there will be a Steel Will Modus D2 in my future. I was considering a Spyderco Shaman but with the new price increases, that put me off. I'll spend my money elsewhere. Now, if Benchmade offers a Bugout with G10 at a reasonable price........

CRK Insingo
Buck Froe
Spyderco of some sort. Thinking a D'Allara 3.

The first two are a given. Not 100% sure on the Spyderco. I am trying to scale down the overall size of my collection so only one Spyderco in my future.

Buck Marksman 830
Buck 110 CPM (already sent in to Buck for warranty repair)
Buck 112 D2 (already sent in to Buck for warranty repair)
Buck 722 S35vn (already sent in to Buck for warranty repair)
Buck 1992 -110- in near mint condition
Buck 110 5160 (purchased for a friend)

So, far, I'm batting 50% in issues/no issues knives in 2018 :(
(Spyderco Stretch V-Toku2/Sus310 preordered)

Ferrum Forge Ferox CPM-4V, should be delivered today.
ZT0450 anodized from usamadeblades I purchased for a birthday gift for a friend.
Benchmade Crooked River 20CV from Benchmade custom shop ordered yesterday. 3 week wait on this one.
That'll hold me over for a while I think. ;)

Purchase list for 2018:
Millit Torrent
All new ZT models
Benchmade 495 Vector (pre-ordered)

I have ordered 6 of the GEC 78 models all in different scales. 2 Wood, 3 bone, and 1 micarta. Have two in hand so far. Perfect size slippie. Love the aesthetics on these.

I also received a like new Spyderco Manix II from a fellow Canadian member on the exchange. Big but just about best ergonomics of any folding knife I have held.

I have always wanted a ZT and an Emerson in my collection. Also wanted to check out my first Tanto bladed folder, some titanium, a new steel and a frame lock.

When I saw the ZT 0620 up for cheap at BHQ, I had to grab one. Emerson Wave, my first Elmax blade, Tanto and a titanium frame with frame lock.

My wife wasn’t pleased when I told her I SAVED $$$ by not having to buy 4-5 separate knives.

Looking forward to checking this beast out.

No guarantees I'll end up with all of these come December 31st (in fact, I almost certainly won't), but the knives on my 2018 purchase list in no particular order (other than the mini Crooked River being at the top of the list) are:

- Benchmade Mini Crooked River (Super excited to have this one in my hands ASAP) and maybe a full (regular?) sized Crooked River from the Benchmade Custom Shop

- Spyderco Native 5 Fluted Carbon Fiber S90V
- Spyderco PM2 Brown G-10 S35VN Sprint Run (I already have both the older brother and the younger, pudgier, less attractive younger sibling, so why not round out my collection to include the classic trio?)
- Benchmade 943 (I love my 940, and being the kind and caring person that I am, I don't want it to get lonely sitting in my drawer lying beside the Spydies and ZTs on the occasions where it's not getting attention in my pocket)
- Benchmade 707 Sequel (whichever model is still in stock whenever I get around to buying it, hopefully I can nab one without a serrated blade)
- Spyderco Caly 3 Green G-10 HAP40 Sprint Run OR Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Lightweight Burnt Orange HAP40 (I'm hoping to continue to feed my smaller blade kick that I've been on the last ~6 months)
- Zero Tolerance 0450CF (The obvious addition to compliment my ZT 0452CF)
OR
Instead of the previously listed six knives, I'll instead save up for either a
- Chris Reeve Small Inkosi Insingo with a black micarta inlay
or some iteration of a
- Chris Reeve Small Sebenza

Well I went out and spent more money on something that is totally unnecessary. Just got home with the last ZT 0450CF that my local knife store had in stock. I was told that it may be awhile (if ever) they can get any more ZT's in stock as the CBSA has declared total war on folding knives in general and is gleefully selling what they confiscate on *-bay. But I got the last one, yippee.

I now have a pretty good selection of EDC folders to choose from so will have to say that's enough (yah right don't count on it). Now have to save up for a new dryer damn thing broke this morning....

Interested to hear what the Canadian dealers are thinking about this. Likely too early for them to know if they will only be selling SAK’s and small fixed blades in the near future, or if they are allowed (or can be authorized) to continue with business as usual. I haven’t had a chance to talk to the local guys in Toronto or the 2 places I buy from out West.

Sucks about your dryer. Could be worse... the poor bastard that lives across the street from me had his furnace die late last night and had to get the entire thing replaced today. He had a fun night huddling in front of the gas fireplace as it was -24C with the wind here. Wasn’t cheap getting an emergency furnace replacement either!

P.s. The CF 0450 is a killer knife!

Ferrum Forge Ferox CPM-4V for me.
ZT0450 for a friend.
Custom Benchmade Crooked River CPM-20CV on the way.
That's enough for a while. ;)

BM Crooked River I bought locally on a whim and a deal I couldn't possibly pass up.

BM Grizzly Ridge in the mail hopefully Monday. Still can't put my Bugout down I've had for a couple months.

So far @Benchmade is killing it this year and making my bank account look slimmer and slimmer. I'll be picking up that BHQ exclusive DLC Manix 2 and a CR mini then I'm going to try to end 2018 purchases.

So far all I bought this year is the Massdrop Kizer Vanguard Gemini for my daughter.

For me it's definitely these two knives this year:
1, Pohan Leu- Hamachi
2, Rob Carter- Variant
(both lefty, of course)

Possible: depending on when (or if) he makes them, and fund availability.
Brad Southard Performance Series lefty Mini Tolk.

The only production knife I may pick up for myself this year is an Ontario RAT II in D2. It will be one of those "scratch the itch" buys I make near the end of the year. Especially if I get both my customs in the next few months.
