On the belt in a sheath:
Vic Farmer. If you don't have one of these, you don't know what you are missing. The best knife I have ever bought for under 20 dollars.

And for when I know that I'm going hiking, on the belt in its sheath is my KA-BAR D2 Impact spear point

I made a three fingered, Talonite fixed-blade eight years ago that I continue to carry every year canoeing in the Boundary Waters. It's sort of a modified Wharncliff with a 3-1/2 in. blade and just 7 in. overall. I'm thinking about making a new horizontal-carry leather sheath.

River-8, what's in the puch on the left of the sheath? Shoot, what's the whole setup consist of? And who moded your SH?

There are actually two pouches on the left, one holds a Mark 13 day/night smoke, the other is an arial flare.
The main pouch holds a metal match, pitchwood, diamond sharpener, repair/sewing kit, electical ties, nails, string etc.

The Busse Shop did a super job on the mod...

River-8.....I'm gonna need something like that for my incoming SARSquatch. Can you do that?......shoot me a PM Please :D

PM headed your way...

Cheers,
8

For me it would be a Vic Farmer. I carry it for the saw and my Gossman PSK that recently replaced my Bark River TUSK. I know there all small. I guess I'm that confident.....my wife would say cocky.

Busse Gamewarden right now..I always have it in the car. Gene

One knife that I'd absolutely have with me is that in my Swiss Multitool. It's always on my belt. Other than that, I need a new folder (current is a CRKT Kasper) and fixed blade (current is Camillus/Ontario Kabar). Plans are for a Benchmade folder and a Fehrman fixed blade. And yes, I would love a Busse, a Bark River, and on and on and on and ....

I am just curious...why do you need to replace the Kasper? I carry one and am wondering if it has given you some sort of issue or are ya just looking for a change?
