Your smallest knife/knives?

A late reply, but here are two pictures. You can see what happens when the blade is pushed into the handle. I hope the pictures are useful. It's a great little knife. I was sorry to hear though that the Schrade factory closed down. :(

(the pictures are not mine, they are from German knife magazine 'Messer Magazin')

The pictures do help, thanks. I can now see how it works. I wonder what'll happen to the price of the knife now.

I bet it is a hair~poppin' little cus!?!

Dan, please tell me, you say 2 inches overal. What is the actual size of the blade?... And what... No sheath?
I have yet to sharpen it.....I must admit to being a little chicken....:o :o

re: size of blade.

Tell ya what, get out a quarter and put a dime next to it. That's how long the blade is. ;)

:p

I have wanted to make a lil' sheath for it for a long time now. Just haven't committed to an idea yet.

Thanks for your vote.

Did I win?

:D  :footinmou

I have another one that is even smaller, about 1-5/8" or something like that. Burl handle. Nickel silver bolster. I'll have to see if I have a pic....

Oops.....sorry, couldn't find one of the burl skinner....:(

But I did find a smaller folding knife by the same knifemaker (Charles Helton):

Sold on ebay for around $100 a year or two ago. I know because......well... we'll just say I didn't win the auction...:(

Amazing work though, eh?!!

Wow. And yikes.

This is a little knife I made from a 2 1/4" damascus blade I bought off ebay. Handle is corian and bocote. OAL-3 3/4".(my first attempt at knife making)

Uhhhhh... Well that didn't work out too well. I guess I need to go back and figure out why the heck the picture is in cascade form. Sorry about that.

Thanks Again 4 Sharing,

Ok. one more.....

This one just sold for $120 a month or so ago. Not as small as the other, but still excellent craftsmanship!

2 1/8" Damascus + Mammoth Tooth

IMHO, the buyer got a screamin' deal..!!!

The smallest blade I have on me at the moment is a CRKT M-16Z. A good all around folder. Smallest fixed blade, a gerber hunter. Not a top of the line but I love it and I never cut with it (only if I would have to :D ) About 9" overall. The CRKT about 5.5"

I'm loving this thread by the way. I'm a huge fan of small blades. If anyone has pictures please post em.

My smallest would have to be a Spyderco Dragonfly but I also have a Spyderco Dodo. I don't own any fixed blades yet, but I would really like to get my hands on a smallish one. Such as a Bitteroot or a Busse Skeleton Key. Or some scalpel like knife.... A guy can dream, right?

Haha, I kind of liked it, mixed things up a bit. :)

I just got a few pictures back of a few of my minis, and thought I'd share.

They may actually be longer than a few of the other minis shown on this thread, but are on a slightly smaller scale. Not my neatest, or my smallest, but it's all I have pictures of.

My smallest knife is a Spyderco Mini Police Necklace. About 3" length (open). Titanium handles, ATS-34 blade, serrated edge and front lock. It really cuts (not that I'm actually using it) ;)

I got my Bark River Mikro-Canadian today in the mail. :D

5" Overall length, full tang, A2 tool steel, convex ground blade. The thing is so small it looks like a toy. (A really sharp toy. :p )

I have got 6 or 7 of these and a bunch more larger BR models. You are right, the micro~canadians do look like toys, or 'they are so cute' as my daughter would say, but mine are wicked, hair poppin` sharp! I love that A~2 in a convex grind... They will never where out!

Cheers

That is the greatest part. You CAN have 6 or 7 all with different handle materials. Everything from traditional to tactical. Glad you like 'em too! :)
