Your top fixed blade battle knives?

Here's one in A2 I just finished... (its available)

Usually, I've relied on my ontario sawback machete for this, but lately it's been in my car. Then yesterday I was wandering the local home depot and found this Estwing double bit for a great price! I've been looking for a traditional nessmuk double bit, but this things like the hell spawn demon double bit so I had to have it! Needless to say, I'd grab this thing:D

Battle blades aren't usually my thing, but my initial "survival knives" would probably fall into that category. Randall Model 15 and 16, EK Comando Bowie G-5, or the Blackjack 1-7.

My collection hardly exceed eight...

Whatever it would be, it would have to be something I don't care about, as caring about it might influence the way it is used...

I think an extremely heavy knife (around 30 ounces) offers the very useful option of bludgeoning with the back of the blade, not an inconsiderable advantage for mitigating the severity of the legal consequences...

Unfortunately, I care a lot about all my heavyweights... At under 20 ounces, the Lile "Mission" is too light for serious bludgeoning, but there are a lot of those floating around, and all my others knives are basically one offs, or twenty made at most, so the Lile would be the closest I have to a big knife that is expendable, besides the Randall Model 12.

You have to realize it might be quite a while before you get your knife back, and who knows what damage they'll do to it...

For outside the home it would be a beak shaped folder. The beak gives extra reach, since it still hooks under clothing at full extension.

AntDog.... that Greco looks like a nice stabber! However the lack of guard may allow your hand to slip onto the blade if you find more resistance than expected!

I'd also have small boomstick of some kind, but...

BK4 in one hand:

BK5 in the other:

14" Tramontina in the other (I'm *very* good at multi-tasking):

BK15s for backup

Nice knife! But also, where'd you get that bead from?

It's from a maker named Santi Se, NOM925 Beads, out of Thailand.
This particular one I won in an auction on another knife forum. It's the head of Apsara.
Santi makes incredibly high quality beads.. Lots of variety too.
Check him out on FB.

I would most likely grab my camp 18. I have much nicer knives but I like the extra distance the 18 would provide. Damn thing is more like a sword and heavy as hell.

I know its not black coated or have a skull stencilled on it...so it couldn't possibly work...but I'd probably go with this

I carried a Ka-Bar when I was in the USMC back in the 80's, worked fine for me.
