I'm not surprised. 940 and Griptilian families are doing great.
I guess it makes sense, since everyone and their mother has a grip, but there's a reason behind that. They're versatile, high-quality, cost-effective, and bad-ass.

Although I'm happily carrying a 940 I voted for the Griptilians. The 551 Griptilian was my first Benchmade and it sold me on the axis lock. Super smooth action, easy to open and close ambidextrously, cost effective, comfortable to use and pocket carry, and when I think "Benchmade" the Griptilian is the first knife to come to mind.

I am loving the 940 though for all the same reasons of the griptilian except it cost more. The top 3 when I think about Benchmade would be:
1) Griptilian
2) 710
3) 940

Well, even if you add the entire Stryker Family including the Axis 908, 909, 903 and 904 I think it will take a lot more time for them to displace either the Contego or Adamas Families. Part of the reason is for their price with 154CM and G-10 you can get a lot of knives with better material.
